INTRODUCTION

Dainichikoukoku, a country much like Japan in the early 1900s.

At a time when the sound of military boots could be heard, the army established the secret intelligence department “Theatres”.

Among the personnel gathered to serve as spies, the protagonist, Hachiya, is among them.

In front of the corpse of the man who was supposed to be his superior – with a face as gloomy as ever and an unmoving prosthetic hand.

“Now, let’s get to work.”

This is a story of many “lies” spun by the protagonist, who chose to fight for his one and only wish, and the people who will eventually become his friends.

Hornet the Vanguard is an adventure game in which the story progresses through exploration and puzzle solving.

Each case to be solved is completed in one chapter.

This title contains chapters 0 through 2; chapters 3 and beyond will be released sequentially.

STORY

Chapter 1

On a mission, Hachiya infiltrated the Koutoza, the best theater in Japan.

There, however, an actress is murdered.

The mysterious detective Yuzaki suspects Hachiya as the murderer. ……

“I like you a little bit. Would you like to be my subordinate person?”

Hachiya is assigned to investigate the case with him and ……?

Chapter 2

Residents of a poor neighborhood are being attacked and mysteriously dying by a yokai.

Hachiya is ordered to investigate such a dubious case.

He picks up a dying man, Kugami, and goes undercover at a mysterious temple.

“You’ll probably get into trouble if you stay here.”

Is it a curse or faith?

What is the truth as they see it?

GAME SYSTEM

Story part

There are two endings for each chapter.

Investigate various cases under the orders of Theatres.

Search Part

When an incident occurs, investigate the scene and gather evidence and information.

Sometimes you may have to use items to unlock a lock or solve a mystery…

Deduction part

Once you have gathered information, it’s time for the deduction part.

You must confront the key witness with the appropriate evidence and elicit a response.

CHARACTER

Hisaaki Hachiya

“I am always the only one who can save myself.”

She lost her right arm in an incident and now wears a prosthetic arm that does not work.

She is quick-witted, but her reckless behavior is remarkable, even at the cost of his own injuries.

She name and career are both fictitious, and only a few people know his true identity.

Eiichiro Yuzaki

“You’re a bad boy. You need a spanking, don’t you?”

A man who calls himself a detective.

At first glance, he appears to be a young man with elegant manners and a soft tone of voice,

But in reality, he is an ambitious man with a black heart. He smiles and spits sarcasm.

He likes Hachiya, who is similar to him, but uses him for his own purposes.

Ilya Kugami

“I ain’t gonna get collared by nobody.”

A key witness in the Inugami case.

He is a wounded, always hungry, stray dog-like man who does not trust others.

He is a fiery fighter, and is quick to settle disputes with violence.

Hachiya sold him a favor of a night’s lodging and a night’s meal. He has a big secret that he can’t tell anyone.

Theatres’ chief strategist.

He is always on the lookout for a good plan,

He is often underestimated because of his smirking face and teasing mannerisms.

He is the man who picked up the main character and raised him as “Hachiya,” but he appears as a corpse at the beginning of the story.
