Great game with a lot of heart.
I saw the demo for this game pop up while searching for something to play and what got my interest was the dmc inspired gameplay... what made me stay though was the charming characters and suprisingly nice story.
The game is not without flaws, the first chapters go on for too long and often felt stretched with not much to do inbetween the fight encounters. Lots of offscreen attacks that get annoying after a while but overall enjoyable and fun gameplay. At the end of the day it is an indie game so im much more forgiving personally, especially at that price point.
The highlights are definitely the boss fights and the loveable characters for me. When i finish a game and just sit there awhile after the credits, thinking and contemplating? that's when you know the game is good.
If you like dmc inspired gameplay, a charming cast, interesting world/story and can forgive some of the game's flaws, this game is absolutely worth it. I don't write reviews very often, doing so is the biggest recommendation i can give.

I can completely recommed this game for any Hack'n Slash fan. Fighting feels amazing and the parry gives the fights a dance like feel sometimes. The Jump'n Run section are also fun most of the time but rail sliding sections are a bit of a miss since they can feel a bit floaty in comparison to the rest of the game.
The story is also interesting and picks up steam in the second half of the game but it works mostly to the other characters and their personalities instead of how the story is told. It leads you through a diverse set of locations that are always full of personality as well.
My main complaints are that you don't really unlock much in the second half in regards to things that change the combat and it starts to feel a bit samey outside of the fantastic boss fights. A second weapon would have done wonders here. The second hald also feels a bit repetetive in regards to environment but it makes up for that with the story.
Overall an 8/10 and I'm really excited what the team does next.

The boss fights are definitely the highlight of this game. The gameplay between them can feel a bit repetitive since you fight the same enemies in most levels, with only a few new types appearing later on. Thankfully, there are some light platforming sections that add a bit of variety. Visually, the game looks great and it’s very well optimized. Overall, I had a lot of fun playing it after work. It’s a perfect game to relax and unwind with.

Overall I am positive on the game.
The combat feels good, which is the most important thing. Good animations and the heavy attacks have a lot of weight behind them.
RPG-Elements are minimalistic which is great and the enemies are rather agressive. Another good choice.
Bosses are more about challenge and spectacle, less about combos which is fine to me.
The plattforming and other side activities are a bit underdeveloped and as a result feel like filler. A bit unfortunate, that they happens so frequently, but we will see.
