Home Sweet Home is a solid indie horror experience with some genuinely spooky moments that keep the tension high. Its atmosphere and sound design do a great job of making you feel uneasy. That said, the game is very short, some of the puzzles can be frustratingly difficult, and the enemies are extremely aggressive, which can break the flow at times. Overall, it’s a quick but memorable horror game, especially if you enjoy intense stealth and scares.

By far one of the coolest horror games I've ever played!! I don't think I've ever experienced a game that scared me quite like this one has. The atmosphere and the story had me so focused on what I was doing that specific times in the game really jolted me and gave some very solid scares.
I suppose my only complaint would be that the hide and seek mechanic was a bit over done and almost made certain parts of the game not really enjoyable to me. This is, however, a personal preference of mine because I think hide and seek mechanics in horror games scare me the most (lol), which makes it hard for me to focus on my tasks or take in my surroundings. That aside, as someone who doesn't really enjoy puzzles, I thought the ones in this game were super fun!! They weren't particularly too easy, but not too difficult either.
Overall, this is a beautifully built game and you can tell a lot of love was put into it. The more you progress, the difficult it gets and it WILL make you upset, but I feel like the good far outweighs the bad here. It's definitely not for the faint of heart either, so beware!

Home Sweet Home is a first-person survival horror game inspired by Thai folklore, set in everyday locations that slowly turn into something deeply unsettling. You explore abandoned homes and schools while being stalked by terrifying spirits, with a strong focus on stealth and survival.
This one was truly scary, and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is intense, the sound design is nerve-wracking, and it gave me strong The Ring vibes throughout. The use of folklore makes the horror feel fresh and grounded, and the fear builds naturally rather than relying only on jump scares. It’s an excellent horror experience if you want something genuinely frightening and immersive.

A classic survival horror but characterized by Thai folklore which is pretty curious to learn through the game. This is also probably the scariest game I've ever played. I'm very experienced in horror gaming, and it's really hard to scare me but I was terrified throughout the game. Every detail composes the terror, and the main antagonist is very brutal and feels like death itself in the flesh. It's aggravated with a hard stealth which strikes fear into you to take the next step. The enemies' detection system is harsh, their behavior and position can be unclear, you often feel like you take high risk when doing your next move. But they're not too smart, you have a right to make a mistake, checkpoints are good, so the game is not pure hardcore and feels pretty balanced. The story isn't told plainly, it cannot be understood right and fully without analyzing all the collectibles and playing the 2nd episode, but if you do, the plot turns out to be really impressive, though not required to enjoy the game. Overall, the gameplay doesn't bring anything new but the whole game is well made, and Thai setting forms unique experience.

As a horror game fanatic person, this just hits the right place. And I can say the same thing for it's sequel as well.
