Hey! Pssst! Don't tell nobody but do this in your game folder its really cool.
1. Go to File Explorer
2. Type %appdata% into the top bar (Left of the search bar)
3. Go to AppData > Local (It usually puts you on AppData > Roaming so just click on AppData at the top then click on Local (Not LocalLow)
4. Click on HoleDweller
5. Right click and hover over "new" and hit "Text Document"
6. Name the Text Document "patch" all lowercase exactly like that (Nothing should be inside the text file and make sure its just "patch")
7. Close out of file explorer and open up HoleDweller
8. Change the skins on your characters
9. Disappoint your ancestors

Played a ton before Steam, had to buy it here once it came out.
Super solid game, one of the few to truly balance NSFW content and the actual gameplay, intertwining them pretty well too.
Definitely grindier than the alpha releases (that was for testing, obviously), but it's fine because it's one of those games where progress builds progress. Example: you start the game and get maybe 3 love coins per lewd scene and you have to play really actively, careful to earn the most points, but it's not long before you're basically just sitting there with a rabbit lady bouncing on you at a rate of about 500 bounces per second getting 500 love coins per second as she slowly drains at your 5000000 HP.
As for being a GAME, it's a lot more fun than it was, and the dev had the sense to finally make completing the game much less of a pain. (It used to be where you had to complete all achievements. ALL of them. Now you just collect 10-ish of a special collectable and you're done.)
Hole Dweller issues found so far:
-Audio LOVES to cut out if you tab out of the game or if you click out of it while it's in windowed mode. Getting audio back feels like RNG. (UPDATE: really seems kinda random for the audio to drop in general, I've had the game lose audio quite a few times for seemingly no reason.)
-Text is SLOW. I hate it, I hate it so much, it needs to be 10x faster, I'm a speedreader and I'm being driven insane.
-Lots of animations and transitions are really slow. You can hold spacebar to skip a lot of them, but the game only tells you this in an optional dialogue.
-Every new character starts out super slow unless you forcefeed them their favorite food a bunch. If you don't feed them a bunch of food, you're likely going to have to kiss them about 50 times across an in-game month to unlock anything else.
-I hit a bomb tile during drilling at the same time as activating a battle, and it skipped the tutorial entirely. Combat is different enough that a tutorial is basically mandatory, so I had to try to remember how combat worked.
-No way to turn off auto-attack, I think.
-For new players, buying drills and conquering tiles isn't really highlighted very much, so most players will miss that, despite being 100% necessary for progress.
-Even after all this time, I've said it once and I'll say it again, the game's pixelated art style is TOO chunky, too pixelated. You can hit F1, F2, or F3 to change it, but the pixelation hides some quirks of the character art and removing it is more of a sidegrade than an upgrade.
-Sucks the rabbit (your first character) takes so long to unlock poses, you'd imagine that'd be the character to start with half the list unlocked since half the point of the character is being a nymphomaniac that loves breeding. Nope, gotta get her love up to, like, 70 (100?) to unlock breeding with her.
-The pheromone attacks are completely unexplained. I don't think the game tells you what they are or what to do when they happen. Even knowing about them, I'm not 100% sure what they do nowadays?
-NG+ isn't much faster than starting over from scratch, so it can be hard to justify NG+ outside of the extra squad slot.
-None of the room decorations are explained. I heard somewhere that a couple of them do something? I mean, there's a pregnancy counter, which obviously counts pregnancies.
-Since the game removed copyrighted skins for characters, skin selection is awful, and most don't have avatar portraits
-Some of the ingame achievements are DEVILISH, like exploring+drilling literally every single individual tile on the map, or maxing out all poses for all girls. Absolutely F-tier achievements that should be removed.

To many, these were some of the worst moments in their life
