Holdfast is the only game where being on the autism spectrum is a requirement.

The player count is usually a good amount of regular players. I hope it stays that way and increases for a long time to come. Gameplay aside, the best part of this game is the quirky personalities that it attracts.
I've never been to a catholic mass in real life, but one dude legit held one for both teams in a church during a battle. Now that's soldiering.

Great game, great community. Always fun to come back to if you’re feeling bored. There are some times where the servers aren’t that active so just keep that in mind

Playing as a French soldier, someone was mic spamming loud African tribal music. People followed him to a fireplace and formed a circle, dancing about to the African drum music. Meanwhile the British took full control of the map, tribal dancing continued unabated.
With only a couple minutes to go, the micspammer then started playing Native American war dance music and led us all on a charge. The British players , by now all bored and complacent as there was noone to fight, were overwhelmed by the entire team doing a vicious charge to the beat of drums and won with seconds to spare. Most accurate Napoleonic war game I've ever played.

It's a great game. Multiplayer servers are difficult to join quickly after the EU servers go down for the night, and presumably same with after NA goes down, but I'm and NA player and I've never stayed up playing that long to know. If you're interested in buying for Frontlines, don't. It typically has around 3 players on, and maybe 10-15 if its after NA or EU shuts down. In my opinion, the best way to play is to join a regiment. I joined one the 2nd day I got the game, because I got bored of being just another random on the battlefield. Joining a regiment taught me many valuable things about the game, like how to melee better, the best weapons, how to shoot more accurately, how to be effective on artillery, etc. You will need discord to join most regiments though. I don't even know of a regiment that doesn't use discord. Also if your not going to buy the game or are not interested in joining a regiment, excuse the following recruitment message from the regiment I am a part of, that being The King's Own:
We need you in our ranks!
Come join The King's Own we have:
- No mandatory attendance!
- A tight-knit community!
- Daily events!
- Organized Public Play!
- An Arty and joint Cav-Skirm divisions!
If you want to join, add PanzerPower on discord, and join the regiment in game(I can help if you don't know how)!
