Rest in peace, Heroes & Generals. It’s time to say goodbye to a game that has given me countless hours of excitement, frustration, and unforgettable memories. From the chaotic battles on foot to the intense tank duels and the strategic air raids, Heroes & Generals truly stood out as one of the best F2P games I’ve ever played.
The game wasn’t perfect—there were bugs, balance issues, and moments that made you want to step away. But for every frustrating glitch, there were those epic moments where teamwork and sheer determination led to victory. Those moments kept me coming back, match after match, year after year.
What made Heroes & Generals so special was its unique blend of shooter gameplay and grand strategy. It wasn’t just about being the best on the battlefield; it was about contributing to the war effort, coordinating with allies, and pushing for that hard-earned triumph.
As I look back, I remember the late-night sessions with friends, the adrenaline of sneaking behind enemy lines, and the satisfaction of securing that last critical objective. The friendships forged, the rivalries born, and the stories shared—these are what made Heroes & Generals more than just a game.
Thank you to the developers and to the community for making this journey possible. While it’s time to move on, the memories will remain.
Goodbye, Heroes & Generals. You’ll always have a place in the hearts of those who experienced your battlefield.

Well rest in peace HnG, i hate you and love you.
The balancing was god awfull.Updates? New Maps? what are those words.
But god damn, this game had one of the best gameplay loops, earn money get better weapons and units repeat.
The respawn and HUD were easy to get into not like Hell let Losse whos kinda the nearest you can play to HnG.
The stupid tactics the ragdolls you name it it was beautiful.
And Tank gameplay was peak before they changed the system of armor and hp.

It is truly unfortunate that a full successor to Heroes & Generals may never materialize. The game, while not perfect, carved out a unique space in the tactical shooter genre by combining large-scale FPS combat with strategic war simulation. Its immersive battlefields, tactical depth, and the ability to influence the course of an entire war made it a standout title for many players. Even though it faced challenges with its engine, technical issues, and monetization, the game's potential always shined through.
Now, with the game’s shutdown and the failure of the Kickstarter campaign for Heroes & Generals 2: The Next War, the future of this franchise seems bleak. But it is crucial to remember that the heart of the game—the community—has always been its driving force. The passionate players who stuck by Heroes & Generals through every update and patch, despite its shortcomings, know how special this game was. It is not just a matter of creating a sequel; it is about preserving a legacy that blended teamwork, tactics, and raw combat in a way few other games could.
The community must not give up hope. Whether it takes years or new developers stepping in, the vision of Heroes & Generals is too valuable to let slip away. There is still a chance that, with enough support, the game could be resurrected on a modern platform like Unreal Engine, bringing the dream of large-scale strategic warfare to a new generation of players. The players who loved this game should continue to support and advocate for its revival, as this project deserves to live on and flourish.
It’s important that Heroes & Generals does not die. This game represented something unique in a sea of repetitive shooters, and it has the potential to come back stronger. With enough time, resources, and the continued dedication of its fanbase, a revival could turn the tides for this beloved franchise. This project should not be allowed to fade, and with a little bit of hope, persistence, and community backing, Heroes & Generals can live again. Let’s ensure that this project doesn’t just survive—it thrives.
