The masterpiece of the “Psikyo Shooting”!
GUNBIRD is a vertical-scrolling shooter game that first appeared in arcades in 1994.
A comical story about the “magical mirror” that makes wishes come true.
You can see the dialogue demos that unfold during the intermission and when the boss appears,
and the dialogue between the characters that changes when the 2 players mode.
You can set the difficulty level, life, number of continues,
controls, screen orientation, and more.
In addition, now we have online rankings!

Characters:
- You like it, don’t you? – “Marion” The Little Great Wizard
- One strike, one kill, one rocket punch! – “Barnas” The Flying Robot Warrior
- The offensive and defensive ruyi stick! – “Yang Nyan” The Chinese Magician Girl
- Power is No. 1! – “Tetsu “The Lovely Carpenter

Planes:
- Power up with “P” items, with sub-weapons also added.
- Get bombs with the “B” item to wipe out enemy bullets and evade your foes!
- Unleash the charge shot to take down your enemies!
Arcade mode:
- 7 levels of difficulty can be selected for beginners.
- Now players can really test out their skills with a “HARD” and “VERY HARD” mode. We’re looking for recruits who are up for the test.
- Local rankings will support all difficulty levels and your own planes.
Options:
- The vertical screen mode that allows you to play in arcade style like back in the day.
- Select the screen filter from the normal +2 version.
- You can set the number of lives from 1 to 9 and the number of continues from 0 to unlimited.
- Assign “Shot”, “Auto Shot” and “Bomb” in the key configuration.
- The vertical screen mode can be operated in the horizontal mode as well! Now enjoy a completely different gameplay.

Excellent visuellement et le gameplay que du bonheur.
j'adore l'univers et l'humour bien Japonaise du jeu.^_^
Il est bien plus facile que le 2.
A jouer avant d'attaquer le 2 qui est bonne continuité pour la série.

J'adore. Reste le shmup de ma (re)découverte, et si j'avais commencé par Ikaruga par exemple, je n'aurais pas accroché aux shoot. Celui-ci est excellent. Même si la fenêtre de jeu, sur mon écran, rend les 1080P tous petits, et c'est bien là le seul défaut de ce jeu. Il est faisable pour les débutant, et à une courbe de progressivité qui s'adapte au niveau, jusqu'à rendre la vie impossible, pourtant pas Manic Shooter pour un rond. Une difficulté bien dosée. C'est très fluide, des personnage et une histoire excellents, bien sur on à une guerrière (Psikyo oblige?!) avec une poitrine protubérante, mais dans le jeu on s'en fiche, puisque "l'amats de pixels" marque l'indifférence... Ce qui compte c'est l'action. Il y a de quoi faire, et le faire bien, sous peine de finir Game Over, puisque contrairement aux Manic Shooter, on arrive au bout grâce à sa technique et sa persévérance, et non pas par des crédits illimités. Les attaques de charges sont efficaces, voir superbes pour moi, cette guerrière à les moyens de nettoyer l'écran, ce qui permet des fois de ce sortir de bien des pétrins. Les bruitages, contrairement à d'autres, sont topissime. Les explosions ferait passé Michael Bay pour un artificier de seconde zone. Les décors, les graphismes, le chara-design ainsi que le méca-design des boss est au-dessus de bien des shoot. Vraiment j'adore ce shmup. La musique est chouette Pas non plus endiablée, mais par rapport au deux, elle est nickel, jamais elle ne prend le choux. Le dénouement avec le boss de fin, m'a bien fait rire. Une perle ce shoot, comme d'autres, de la maison Psikyo. J'ai la collection de leurs jeux disponibles, à me faire.
