Grow Up

While out exploring the galaxy with MOM, BUD’s parental spaceship, she goes to pieces. Literally – MOM’s all over the place. The positioning of that moon was inconsiderate. Now her ship parts are scattered far and wide across an entire alien planet so rich in flora and fauna it would make even the most jaded galactic gardener’s head spin.

Well, if you're here you probably played Grow Home, if you liked that game, you'll like this one. If you disliked that game, you'll probably dislike this one.
Grow Up is an expanded version of Grow Home, more exploring, more BUD, and now POD. Everything is amazing, (Except that "ending").
Still miss this Ubisoft.

"Grow up" is a third-person platformer game where you must search for ship parts, complete challenges, collect crystals, unlock telerouters (teleporter) and grow seeds from a variety of plants. There are even a few critters you will find that roam this planet! You are BUD, the main character in this game, and your ship has crash-landed onto an unknown world! Find all the parts you will need to fix MOM with the help of your new friend POD. BUD has many abilities that he can unlock; one of those is the ability to transform into a ball where he can roll, bounce and boost over obstacles. Another two powers he can perform are gliding and using a jetpack to climb the barriers. One of my favorite parts of this game is the ability to grow starplants which can be extremely helpful early on to climb all the floating rocks and biomes of the world.
There are thirty-one different telerouters you will need to find to fast travel across the map. One hundred and fifty crystals are hiding across this planet, and each time you pick up one, you get closer to upgrading your equipment! In addition, you can hear the crystals make an ominous sound which helps identify their position. POD provides thirty-eight challenges that are relatively simple and easy to complete, with a few difficult ones towards the end of the game. These challenges consist of short races in which you must go through all the checkpoints on time or fail the mission. Using POD, you can magnify the entire planet from the sky, which helps locate telerouters, crystals, and challenges. The controls for this game are best for gamepads, while the keyboard and mouse can feel a bit clunky at times.
Overall this game has been outstanding in terms of content, length, and difficulty. I would highly recommend this game to any person regardless of age. The amount of exploring and searching for collectibles is phenomenal—marvelous work done by Ubisoft and one of the few good games on the market. Rated 8.5/10 based on price, length and, adventures. There is more than one biome to explore, and finding all the collectibles can be a burden when you have to be zoomed up close with the POD to locate telerouters, crystals, and challenges that you may have missed. One of the last places I explored was the asteroid belt which provided me with the remaining collectibles. Who would have known that you could still explore beyond the moon?
