In Grow Home you play as BUD (Botanical Utility Droid), a robot on a mission to save his home planet by harvesting the seeds of a giant alien plant. On his quest BUD will discover a beautiful world of floating islands that are home to some rather strange plants and animals. Grow the giant plant and use your unique climbing abilities to reach ever higher ground, but be careful…one wrong move and it’s a long way down! Key Features Climbing: Procedural animation allows you to move BUD's hands independently, creating a unique and unrestricted climbing experience. Growing: Guide and ride the giant alien plant as you create your own pathways in the sky. Everything you grow can be climbed on. Use it as a bridge, a safety net, or simply as a tool for artistic expression.

short-lived jump n' run fun with clunky controls
The game's idea is neat, but tbf, nothing too special.
I can imagine some of my friends with TikTok brains would find this game boring.

This game is awesome! Even though it's really short, it is so much fun to play around wiht human fall flat like physics. But I don't recommend getting this game alone, especially for full price. I do really love this one and I hope that maybe someday there will be another game like grow home and grow up

B.U.D. und die Bohnenranke
Schöner vertikaler 3D-Plattformer, bei dem man eine Pflanze mehrere Kilometer in die Höhe wachsen lässt. Die Steuerung ist anfangs etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber da kommt man schnell rein. Hier helfen auch die nach und nach freischaltbaren zusätzlichen Fähigkeiten (Insb. Jet-Pack). Die Optik ist einfach gehalten, überzeugt aber. Insbesondere der Tag-Nacht-Wechsel sorgt für sehr schöne Aussichten.

- anfangs etwas hakelige Steuerung

Im Angebot unbedingt zuschlagen, aber auch für die vollen 7,99 € absolut in Ordnung. Läuft auch auf dem Deck wunderbar.

Grow Home schafft eine Welt in der Mann frei und kreativ diese erkunden kann, ohne eingeschränkt zu werden. Es ist wirklich ein sehr gutes Spiel um entspannt auf Sammel-Tour zu gehen, dass Kristall-Radar sowie die zahlreichen Funktionen zur Fortbewegung sind sehr gut in das Game integriert- ich würde es als Warm-Up für den Nachfolger empehlen, das Nachfolger ist nochmal deutlich besser und perfektioniert das Konzept.

Ein lustiges und kinderfreundliches Kletter-Game! Das niedliche Aussehen des Hauptcharakters hilft zwar, den Frust zu mildern, wenn man fällt, aber der Ansporn, das Ziel zu erreichen, bleibt dennoch stark. Dieses Spiel ist eine perfekte Empfehlung als kleines Game für zwischendurch – charmant, unterhaltsam und motivierend!
