Grow Big (or Go Home): Ultimate Edition
Playing as Bruce, the world’s most talented indoor gardener, you will travel to different eras and worlds in order to water, light, and tend to the most tedious plants with the high-tech magic of a watering can, a reflective mirror, and an electric fan, to name just a few tools at your disposal.
Using straightforward controls taught in an intuitive way, experience the simple but challenging systems in this top-down 2d plant simulator, in all of it’s pixel-art glory [Zero pixels were rotated in the making of this game].
In the new Ultimate Edition, every aspect of the Grow Big (or Go Home) has been expanded on and improved upon, including visuals, audio, and gameplay. There is now original music themed to each and every location and the brand-new hard mode, which doubles the length of the game, can be attempted for those seeking a challenge.
Drop your jaw at the paradox between such cheerful tunes and such mind-flipping gameplay as you play through now 30+ imaginative levels; Can you reach the newly-expanded procedural and replayable level set in Hell? Can you unlock the 3 themed outfits that Bruce desires? Can you complete hard mode and master the art of gardening? The answer to each of these questions lies in the “Add to Cart” button above.

My husband got this game for me, and I hadn't played it until after it became free, but when I did get around to playing it I found it was a lot more in-depth than I initially thought it would be. You play as Bruce and using the power of mirrors with light and a watering can you grow plants. There are obstacles that try to slip you up or catch you off guard. I was NOT good at this game when I first tried it. Not even a little bit. So immediately I looked at blaming the game, but that was an inaccurate way of going about things. I got better, practised a lot because I'm stubborn and wanted to complete the game and get all the achievements as well because I figured I owed it this much for misjudging it at first. Hard mode tests your limits. There are corners designed to mess you up. Be prepared to perfect your strategy before expecting to pass those. I actually had trouble with "Bruce's Inferno" which was an achievement for getting a total score of "666" in the very last level of the game. I think it had bugged for me and I had done several things to try to fix it. I reached out to the dev team and they actually removed that achievement for me and anyone else looking to achievement hunt when they play. So when I say I recommend this game, I do but I also recommend the dev team as developers who want to improve their games. Don't expect this game to be easy, expect to rage a little bit because darn it you almost had it, and try your best to get better at playing before giving the game a bad rap.

Grow Big (or Go Home| Is an interestingly shortish game where you have to strategically water plants and as the game progresses it gets a bit harder and adds new obstacles. Overall i enjoy it a bit more than i thought i would 8/10
