Pick and choose between tons of weapons, spells, armour and other tricks to create a build, break the game and take it as far as you can.
Further Still: Survivors is this solo indie game dev’s take on a new classic. Mix a little Magic Survival and Vampire Survivors with some some retro SNES like graphics. Add in some active combat options, slow the pace down a bit and build up the meta progression element … and this is what you get.
Features
- Tons of weapons that you can evolve and upgrade
- Acquire, improve and select gear to bring with you into combat
- Multiple active abilities to give you even more control during combat

There are no other reviews so I guess I'll write something.
There are a lot of other Vampire Survivor clones out there that outright suck. This one is actually pretty decent so far. It doesn't have the same weird floaty, clunky feeling a lot of the bad ones have.
There are some unique features here or there that make it seem a bit different. I'd say the main one is that the meta progression changes things up and you're not just clicking boxes like this (+1 Damage 0/5 ) for every stat. Instead there is this strange passive base being built up, kind of like in Suikoden, and you carry progression by unlocking and upgrading equipment and I think your weapons.
Overall it's one of those games that is worth the money because it's so cheap but I think with more and more updates it will be something you'll be happy to revisit from time to time.

Having fun with this one. Pixel graphics are well-made and detailed. A good number of spells already and 12 different characters to choose from (different starting spells, stats). Equipment system adds stat/passive changes to mix it up and everything can be levelled up the more you play (even the maps!).

Good price to entertainment ratio. Wanted to find another Survival game that's going to be updated since Nomad Survival looks like the updates are about to slow way down and I love the feeling of logging in and there being new stuff.

Neat little game in the Vampire Survivors vein, well-polished with a decent variety of weapons, and a bunch of stage effects which mix things up and stop the game from feeling completely static from one run to the next. Lots of equipment and other stuff to unlock and level up, and additional bonusses from levelling up individual characters and stages means there's always an incentive to keep going and doing just one more run. Developer is super active as well and constantly pushing out balance tweaks, QOL updates and new features.

Great potential! Already a fun game and could end up surpassing Vampire Survivors. Definitely scratches the itch for more of that content.

I'll be honest: that artstyle, that name, that title art, even the font used. Everything made me think this would be a low effort Vampire Survivors clone that does nothing other than adding a +1 to the waves of bullet heaven titles on Steam. As I keep playing this, I realize this pretty far from the truth. While the presentation is nothing special, it has this endearing 8-bit JRPG vibe to it, with the game hub featuring characters you can sort of interact with to gamble money, buy armor and weapons (as opposed to the more classic permanent upgrade of stats), hire new fighters, and most importantly pet a cute doggo. And then there's the combat, which again isn't anything too remakrable on a technical level and somewhat slow with scattered enemies hard to crowd control, but the variety of weapons, the active and passive skills, the varied loot and more give a solid variety. The various levels themselves have traps appear randomly, weather effects and more that can drastically alter a fight's outcome. While hardly the most mechanically satisfying bullet heaven out there, it still offers a take unique enough to worth a try for hardcore fans of the genre like me.

Great game! The Survivors genre is off to a great start and this one seems like another winner.
Edit: The more I play it the more I like it. While clearly the same type of game as Vampire Survivors, I don't feel bored like I've done it all before when I play this. If you were/are addicted to Vampire Survivors, you'll be addicted to this. Highly recommend.
