In FTL you experience the atmosphere of running a spaceship trying to save the galaxy. It’s a dangerous mission, with every encounter presenting a unique challenge with multiple solutions. What will you do if a heavy missile barrage shuts down your shields? Reroute all power to the engines in an attempt to escape, power up additional weapons to blow your enemy out of the sky, or take the fight to them with a boarding party? This "spaceship simulation roguelike-like" allows you to take your ship and crew on an adventure through a randomly generated galaxy filled with glory and bitter defeat.Key Features:

FTL ist für mich eines dieser Spiele, die auf den ersten Blick viel kleiner wirken, als sie eigentlich sind.
Man schaut drauf und denkt erst: simples Indie-Spiel, bisschen Raumschiff, bisschen Management. Und dann merkt man ziemlich schnell, wie viel Spannung, Tiefe und Nervenkitzel in diesem Ding steckt.
Was FTL für mich so stark macht, ist diese Mischung aus Strategie, Improvisation und ständigem Risiko. Fast jede Entscheidung kann später wichtig werden. Ob Energieverteilung, Crew-Management, Waffenwahl oder die Frage, ob man noch einen riskanten Sprung wagt: Das Spiel schafft es immer wieder, einen unter Druck zu setzen, ohne unfair zu wirken. Wenn etwas schiefgeht, dann meistens, weil man sich selbst ein wenig zu clever fand. Menschliches Kernproblem.
Dazu kommt, dass FTL trotz seiner schlichten Präsentation unglaublich viel Atmosphäre hat. Jeder Run erzählt irgendwie seine eigene kleine Geschichte. Mal rettet man sich mit letzter Hülle aus einem hoffnungslosen Kampf, mal zerlegt ein perfekt geplanter Angriff ein eigentlich überlegenes Schiff. Und manchmal brennt einfach das halbe Schiff, die Crew erstickt fast und man fragt sich, warum man diesen Sprung überhaupt gemacht hat.
Gerade diese Mischung aus Frust, Spannung und dem Wunsch, es beim nächsten Mal besser zu machen, macht das Spiel für mich so stark. Es ist fordernd, aber selten leer oder künstlich. Jeder Erfolg fühlt sich verdient an.
Für mich ist FTL ein echtes Indie-Highlight und eines der besten Roguelike-Strategiespiele überhaupt.
Wer auf kluge Entscheidungen, dichte Runs und dieses ständige "nur noch ein Versuch" steht, sollte es unbedingt gespielt haben.

Very Good rough like. Its absolutly winable with the right technik. So much content its crazy its just not stopping. Text gets little bit repetitive after some time but you never know the outcome

FTL is the definition of "old but gold". Its just a fantastic game, i'd recommend it to everyone that like difficult roguelikes. Yet, you will find yourselfe in a situation, asking the game, if it hates you but i ensure you... it does . But that's okay

This game is the founder of a genre, and thats for a reason. You want difficult rogue-like strategy? This is a great example of how simple rules can be difficult to master.
