May you die gloriously and to great applause! Greetings Human and welcome to FORCED SHOWDOWN: "The only show in the galaxy with lives on the line!" Pick one of the 4 contestants from across the FORCED universe – each a master of their own style of combat – and try to become a superstar of my show, as you battle through worlds of monstrous enemies and face off against epic arena bosses. You may die horribly and repeatedly, but think of your fans and smile for the cameras! Cards boost your action abilities! In my show, you will unlock cards that let you boost your stats and upgrade your abilities differently each battle. Use clever deckbuilding and show off your epic combos! In the end though, it's all up to your own action skills, on the arena floor, to carry you through both times of luck and misfortune.

Given positive review by late TotalBiscuit (devs uploaded his entire video on their Steam page), I was tempted to try it for a long time.
After 9 years of progress in roguelikes and roguelike ARPGs, this game feels substantially "less". Content is light and recycled, balance feels off for heroes, card system is too RNG based, and "Live" feature doesn't work.
That said, this game feels good to play moment-to-moment. It is fun beating the minions and heroes has decent kits that get greatly powered (if Card RNGesus works in your favor).
A reboot with completely thoughtout mechanics and less RNG reliance could actually work in today's market.

Hi,
Basically it is a topdown arena fighting game. There is almost nothing special about it. Skills are basic, arenas are basic, classes are basic, enemis are basic, bosses are basic, the gameplay is a loop you do the same all the time. The only great aspect would be the narrating of the game, the presentation.
This game does everything okey-isch, it is definitely not a bad game but there is not much special about it.

Sadly has no multiplayer. Waited nearly 7 1/2 years to end a friendship with my prior co-op mate, so I can finally play it solo.
