«Fly, Glowfly!» is an unusual logic game – a combination of the level editor, arcade and maze game genres. Your goal is to help Glowfly to collect all bonuses on the level and reach the finish by placing different blocks on its way. In the beginning this game will resemble some puzzle, but next levels are almost mind-blowing – you need good reaction to win! More than 75 levels divided into chapters with unique gameplay features, hand-drawn art, ambient soundtrack – it definitely won’t leave you indifferent!

My short video review about this game:
Fly Glowfly! Is a casual indie, puzzle game made Black Snowflake Games. The objective in this game is to guide a glowfly to a capsule that constitutes the finish of a given level. Guiding the firefly is done by placing triangular blocks in the straight path of the glowfly, thus changing the glowfly’s trajectory by bouncing from the block at a 90 degree angle.
In my opinion, the best strongest aspect of this game is the aesthetics. The environments are colourful and detailed. Moreover, the animations are fluid as well; translating into a much needed fluidity of the glowfly’s movement when solving levels.
The gameplay itself is good enough for a casual puzzle game. The main idea that needs to be grasped, in order to solve the levels with ease, is the fact that you can trap the glowfly in between 2 blocks. This way you can go through levels step by step, carefully planning how you are going to take on the next obstacle. The game does not explicitly tell you this trick, but the developers do expect you to find this out during play, as chapter 3 contains levels that can’t be solved without using this mechanic.
Furthermore, swinging blades and other obstacles introduce the need for timing and ‘’reflexes’’ in later stages of the game. The downside to this is, however, that all blocks which were placed are removed upon death. The developer thinks that letting the placed blocks remain where they are upon death would make the game too easy; I have to disagree with this view, as the current state of the game makes later levels quite tedious as you’re trying to establish the same setup of blocks every time you die.
Control-wise there is not much to complain about; blocks can be placed by dragging them onto the ‘’hidden grid’’ present in the level and are removed by dragging them back to the ‘’storage area’’ on the right hand side of the screen. I would to be able to right-click placed blocks in order to remove them rather than dragging them away though.
In the current state of the game, the music is a bit repetitive as well. Every chapter is comprised by 15 levels, and in these 15 levels there is 1 music track that loops every few minutes. While I turned off the sound of the game after a while to listen to my own music, I think that a bit more variety in music would benefit the game greatly.
I do recommend the game to people who are looking for a casual puzzle game to play from time to time. My definition of casual puzzle game places this game among other games such as 4 Elements and Bejeweled

The tag line on the Steam store page asks you to ponder if you are "tired of AN INDIE PIXEL-ART 2D SHOOTERS WITH A VERY DEEP STORY?" Personally I'm still quite partial to 'an indie pixel-art 2D shooters' but either way, if you enjoy puzzle games, you may want to check this out.
Fly, Glowfly! is a neat little puzzle game, deceptively simple to begin with but which quickly escalates to fiendish difficulty levels. With 90 levels and a promise of more to come, there's plenty of casual gameplay on offer here.
So what's the concept? Well, your objective in each level is to get the glowfly from its starting point to the finish portal by use of angled blocks, some of which you prepare in advance, others you'll need to place on the fly (pun intended). The game offers additional challenge in form of bonus stars on each level which are tricky to get.
As you might expect, additional mechanics are introduced along the way, including switches, keys, one-way blocks, and shurikens that will finish off your little glowfly if it encounters them.
It gets hard pretty quickly, so if you like a challenge and you're adept at this sort of puzzle set up, this is probably the game for you. If you can beat it, you're a better man/woman/cat/goat than I. I refuse to admit I'm bitter because I got the 'Totally Wrong' achievement for comprehensively messing up my block placement.
My main frustration was that if you fly off the screen (be free from your blocky prison, glowfly!) or die, you have to restart the level and lose everything you'd set up. An option to keep your blocks in play would have been beneficial.
It's also light on options (fullscreen/windowed; sound on or off, and that's yer lot) but that's generally to be expected from an inexpensive indie puzzler.
That aside, it's everything it claims to be. Which is definitely not 'AN INDIE PIXEL-ART 2D SHOOTERS WITH A VERY DEEP STORY'. For the price and for puzzle-lovers, it's worth a look.

Just played it for a few minutes and it's a really interesting game. I'm at the beginning of the first level and feels so nice and the music is relaxing. If you want to get away from super hard games, this is the one to get.

Tired of AN INDIE PIXEL-ART 2D SHOOTERS WITH A VERY DEEP STORY? Then be sure to check Fly, Glowfly! Your goal is to help this little shiny (and a bit stupid) thing to reach the finish by placing blocks on it's way. Sounds like a mobile puzzle, but... a picture is worth a thousand words.

Be honest. Did any of you get this game for any reason other than the Spurdo emote?
