History
Development on Fleshport officially started in March of 2016. It began as a small passion project as a means to bring myself out of a slump in my life, and it graduated into something far more ambitious than I intended. It’s been a long road, and although I hope to keep my next adventure a lot shorter, I feel everything I’ve learned made it time well spent. I hope you enjoy my creation, I look forward to sharing my worlds with you.

First of all: Do not save the game while you are being chased. This may cause the game to crash any time you try to continue the game and if you only used one save slot, you will have to restart the game. I had to restart the game which was annoying but in my second playthrough I remembered not to save while being chased and everything went well.
The song the developer made is very nice. They even have it on Spotify.
When you upload a game to Steam I guess it's a bit of roulette. Regardless of an indie game's quality, there's a chance that not many people will discover and play it. I think the thumbnail art for the game looks both boring and weird. The trailer also does not do the game justice.
Overall, I am very impressed with the game. I only have some minor things to criticise. I don't really understand the lore but I have ADHD so it might not be the game's fault. Aside from the game crashing maybe 2 or 3 times in my second playthrough, I don't remember encountering any bugs. I believe the game only crashed due to me speedrunning through the dialogue since I had already read it all in my first playthrough. I think the music throughout the game is fine but it's a bit boring and could be a lot better. Some of the tracks have a sharp high pitch sound which I find painful. At the same time, most of them are very interesting.
My least favourite area in the game is the syringe area - I won't spoil anything. It took me a very very long time to work out how you are supposed to survive Preoria there until I realised in one of the rooms, you had to go near a trap first and hope she gets trapped before going to the item in the room. I hacked the health in the game just to survive this one area. It's basically almost the end of the game but I have no problem with the other areas in the game. My only other area annoyance is with how dark the laboratory is. I did a bunch of zigzagging to get around objects there.
The game has some secrets although I wonder if some things are a red herring that is intended to make you think there's more secrets than there actually are. For example an X on the side of a building but I have no idea what to do there so maybe it's not a secret.
The game has a decent atmosphere and interesting story from what I can understand. Visually it's both hit and miss - some things look better than other things in the game. Generally I do like the way the game looks. Preoria, Shaye, Pugsly, the dolls and that butcher are my favourite characters and I think they look better than the other characters in the game. Shaye is very cute. Nipsy reminds me of Frank from Donnie Darko (even though Frank isn't pink) or Gummo. I haven't watched Gummo, but I've seen a character from that movie who wears a bunny hat.
The game has a kind of New Game +. I haven't finished the New Game + yet but it has a few cool things in it. Playing the game again after your first time should be a lot faster because you know what to do. This game is very speedrunnable.
I hope the developer makes more games.
