王道のファンタジーRPGといえばコレ
バロン王から下される非道な命令に疑問を抱きながらも、
指示通りにクリスタルを集めていた暗黒騎士のセシル。
しかし、その王の裏切りを皮切りに暗黒の道を捨て、
人々を救うために反旗を翻し戦うことを決意する。
クリスタルを守るために訪れる先々で出会う仲間たち、
冒険の果てに明かされる真実と本当の敵。
古き良き時代の王道RPGと言えばこの一作。
面白い/評価できるポイント
・王道中の王道ストーリー
おそらく王道ストーリーのRPGと言えば？と聞かれて、
本作を挙げる人も多いと思われるぐらいの王道ストーリー。
侵略を繰り返す王に騙され、国を発つ主人公と親友、
行く先々で出会う仲間たちと紡いでいく絆、
何度も相まみえる強敵と明かされる真実、
それらすべてが力を与えてくれる結末。
今となっては古典的かもしれないが、
シンプルで直球のストーリーから得られる感動は、
令和のこの時代にプレイしても確かに感じられた。
また、王道と呼ばれる本作を王道たらしめるBGMの数々、
これらも本作の雰囲気にとてもあっていて、
今なお人気が高いことからもその完成度の高さがうかがえる。
・ラスボスがしっかり強い
FFシリーズのラスボスはあまり強くないと言われるが、
FF4のラスボスはめちゃくちゃ強い。
他作品のラスボスのような搦め手はなく、
猛烈なスピードで全体高火力の技を出し続けてくる。
また、特定の行動に対するカウンターも強く、
攻守共に隙がないため多くのプレイヤーを絶望させてくる。
そんな圧倒的な強さを誇るラスボスだからこそ、
一人の力では勝てない、みんなの力で打ち勝つことができる、
そんな直前の演出がさらに光るのかもしれない。
総評やまとめ
古き良き自体の王道RPGと言えばやはりこの作品。
既プレイの人が思い出を懐かしみながらプレイするも良し、
未プレイの人がレトロゲーを体験する入口としても良し。

ブースト機能でライトユーザーも安心して楽しめる。愛のテーマが最高です

2のようなスキル上げの苦行もなく（レアアイテムの回収でアラーム連打はしましたが）、ほどよいバランスで遊びやすかったです（オリジナルから各種調整がされているとのこと）。ただ、話しかけるだけでバステを付与されたり、モルボルの臭い息にやられたりと、状態異常に関してはストレスが溜まりました。ストーリーもよかったですが、トラウマでファイアが使えなくなった子供を大人が取り囲んで無理やり使わせるシーンは今だと問題になりそうだなと思いました。

とにかく懐かしい作品でした
シナリオが突飛でこの場面はもっと悲しめよとか
あんな事があったのにその対応はあっさりしすぎだろと小言を言いたくなるが
容量上の制約や納期の関係などもあっただろうしシナリオや台詞に時代を感じる
当時はなんとも思わなかったが大人になってから再体験するとウルッと来る場面もあった
ATBってこんなに忙しかったっけ？戦闘中の相手の行動が異常に早く感じ
バトル２のBGMのおかげで駆け引きが熱かった

ドット絵ビジュアルが非常に美しく、経験値・お金ブースト機能があるので遊びやすく、エンカウントON／OFF機能があるのでストレスフリーでゲームを楽しめるのが嬉しいです。
バランス調整されているとはいえ、敵から受けるダメージ量が今の時代のゲーム基準に合っているとは言い難い、良くも悪くも古いゲームである点だけが注意点と思います。

古き良きRPGです。
最近のRPGに慣れてる人だと面白いより不便さを感じるかもしれません。
例えば最近のRPGでは道案内があり、次にどこにいけばいいか分かりますが
そういう便利な機能はありません。
しかしこちらの作品はエンカウントをなしにしたり経験値ブーストもあるので
RPGで当たり前のレベリングもすぐに終わりサクサク進めることができます。

ピクリマで完全初見プレイ
・キャラの加入＆離脱が多く、レベリングの意味とは…と戸惑いつつ進めた
・当時のジェンダー観の強いセリフは半目で
・そんな感じで全体的に乗り切れずプレイしていましたがラストの演出で全て昇華されました。良かったです。
