Truly relaxing and friendly experience. I like how nothing can't go explicitly wrong (crops cant die for example), so you never have to feel bad. However, there is a lot of depth in how well you can plan and optimize.
The wide variety of scenery items make it a joy to customize your farm and houses. The unique events, all throughout the year, keep me coming back for many months now.
Two minor downsides:
- While you can figure out how most things work relatively easy, some mechanics are difficult to understand and lack explanations.
- In the early- and mid-game you can feel the struggle for gold/gems that makes you strategise where to invest, but at some turning point you gain way more than you could ever meaningfully spend.

With over 1400 hours in this game I can assure you it is worth playing xD It's very chill, very relaxing and one of my favorite cozy games of all time. Highly recommend this and it's sequel Farm Together 2. You can't go wrong purchasing either one of them.

do you like farming sims?
This is a good farming sim. Great, even. It has farming sim features such as:
-farming
-farming related activities
-decorating your farm
-farming on your farm
Plus you can do all those things with other people. This might sound like a sarcastic review, but it's not. You do one thing, and you do it over and over, chasing those hits of dopamine while your small patch of land grows into an unwieldy farm beast that cannot be tamed. You watch the currency numbers go up and you expand more and more until it takes a solid in-game month just to get through half your flower patch and oh god there's still a whole orchard that has to be farmed in 17min before the next season change and my watermelons just came in and I unlocked 20+ decorative things I haven't had a chance to look at because I still need to sell all this jam I've been hoarding!

First off: Ignore any reviews saying it's like Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley. I have played Stardew Valley, and I can definitely say it honestly isn't. The only similar thing is that... it's a farming game. That's literally it. But, there's no story. No plot. No NPCs or romanceable NPCS. No village or town. If you're wanting a game like that, I would say look elsewhere, because this is just straight up farming and decorating. I would say it's probably more like Farmville if anything.
But, what I love about this game is that it's a very laid back experience. There's no enemies. No negative penalties if you go AFK or fall asleep while playing. Crops don't wither and die if you don't keep watering them. You can keep the game running in the background if you want. Great for playing before bed or just to unwind in general. Very pick-up-and-play. Very family friendly. No bad language or anything inappropriate for children.
Crops grow in real time. For example, if something says it'll take an hour to grow, then it's a literal real life hour. But for me, that's fine. I'll hop on, plant stuff, hop off, do something else for a while, and check back later.
Also, despite the name, "Farm Together", you do not have to play multiplayer if you don't want to. You can set your farm to private if you want. Most of the time when I play, I'm playing by myself, and it's still really fun even in singleplayer. But the game really shines through multiplayer. You can play with a family member or a friend, or you can visit random farms and help out. If you spend a lot of time helping others out, you get a buff you can take back with you to your farm.
I really enjoy this game and I definitely recommend it for folks who want a relaxed, "pick-up-and-play" farming experience. It may not be a Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley, but it's definitely amazing in its own way!

Someone very dear to me gifted me this game some time ago, I've played 115 hours and honestly it is therapeutic! I do wish that at times I could accumulate diamonds faster to unlock more parts of the map faster. But at the same time it is an okay pace if your not investing real money on additional things. This is one of the games I tell everyone to get even if it isn't one I know they will like because you never know when the urge will strike to play something more calming!!

I dont know how I sank so much time into a farm game. I dont play these types of games, but my wife picked this up and wanted to co-op it on the Steam Deck. I recommend this game, had a lot of fun playing it, especially in co-op. It worked great on the Steam Deck as well - no issues at all there. Exclusively played it on the Steam Deck.
Really enjoyed getting the game to 100% which took me about 60 hours. The mechanic of changing seasons really works well.
Even if you consider yourself into mostly strategic and military games (which I do), this is still a great game to play with friends/family. Once my wife and I started playing this, so did our kids on the XBOX. Really happy to see work on Farm Together 2 coming along - we will be picking that one up on full release I am sure.
Fun, cozy, no stress building game that works great on the Steam Deck, and is really fun to play alongside others.
