Mit Far Cry 2 haben die Entwickler seinerzeit einen Volltreffer gelandet. Das liegt vor allem an der packenden Atmosphäre und an der bombastischen akustischen wie visuellen Aufmachung. Natürlich ist die Engine ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, sieht dafür aber noch prima aus und läuft ohne große Probleme. Da trüben Mängel wie die teils saudumme künstliche Intelligenz, die stellenweise langatmigen Reisen durch das 50 Quadratkilometer große Gebiet und die teils eintönige Geschichte nur wenig das gute Gesamtbild. Manchmal kommt es vor, dass die Installation des Spiels einfriert. In diesem Fall einen erneuten Versuch starten, diesmal aber die Häkchen für die Erweiterungen entfernen. So hat es bei mir reibungslos geklappt. Später kann das Häkchen wieder gesetzt werden, dann werden die Erweiterungen nachträglich installiert.
