If for some reason you missed it - make sure to give it a try, even after the years since release, Fallout 3 is still a masterpiece post-apocalyptic adventure rpg. It is a lot better than Fallout 4 imho.

HOW TO PLAY ON WINDOWS 2024
Known Fix :)

Go to your window display settings
then go to "graphics settings"
click "browse" find and add the "Fallout3" app launcher and the "FalloutLauncherSteam" in your game folder
Change the settings of both app launchers to high performance in your windows graphic settings
IF THAT DOESN'T WORK TRY THIS ALSO
Go to nexus mods
Create an account
Download
"Intel HD graphics Bypass package" for Fallout 3
Unzip the file
Add the .dll file to your Fallout 3 Folder
This all takes about 5 mins and your game should rarely if ever crash again!

was my first fallout game. i prefer the atmosphere more than new vegas (like how it feels like im actually walking in a nuked city compared to new vegas where its just like 10 buildings and they call it a city) but new vegas has a better story than this game could ever dream of. the side quests do make up for it though and i feel its what makes the game the most enjoyable to play

Pretty good game to play on the steamdeck. Ironically it works on the steamdeck (linux) but not windows 10 or newer. Do not buy this game if you are gonna play it on windows, buy it if you play on steamdeck

A few months ago, the launcher just STOPPED working. I made no changes that I can think of, hadn't even played the game in a long time. Went to start a new game and the launcher just crashes out every time. Anyone else have this issue, and a way to fix it?
And yes, I count this as a review, since this is a Bethesda game.

The game gets a bad rep. Of course this isn't FNV but it's the first Fallout installment in 3D so let's give it some slack :)
But no Polish localization, no steam cards nor achievements is a great shame, what is the point of buying it on steam then?
The game has a lot of mods too, they could add mod support to steam like in Skyrim..

If the game crashed when you click new game, just get "Intel HD graphics Bypass package" from Nexus mods, will fix it even if you don't have an integrated GPU!
