I really like this game
he is not perfect, far from it, but he has an atmosphere.
The music, the artwork, the design. It feel like the dream of a conquistador: hard, cruel but beautiful, and even peaceful sometime.
You have to manage a small expedition in the new world. For that you recrute at the beginning few people and more later in the game.
Every character has a personnality (each kind of personnality trait has its opposition: generous/greedy. Courageous/coward, racist/tolerant...) and a class (soldier with shield or spear) hanter (with bow or gun), schoolar, even later peasant... And they have some intervention during conversation depending of their opinion and even conflict between them.
You have also different ressources (food, medecine, equipment) that you will use during your exploration on the "map" where sometime events can happens (encounters or simply a text with multi choose).
An interesting aspect is that there is almost no random in the game, every encounter has been prepared with their map, number of ennemy, objectif... and not randomly created. So it is hard but kind of balanced (except if you go with a bunch of injured people). You will have some items to help you in the fight.
the story is nice and kind of open, you can totaly lose the first act and continue (but with consequences and real one) you can get gameover mid game during a big siege battle or not. You can ally with the aztec or with their ennemy, stole the gold.
If you like RPG (even if this game is not a traditionnal rpg), the "1492" movie ambiance, the spanish music, try this game.

Note positive d'encouragement
