Eronoctosis es un título independiente y gratuito de terror en cooperativo publicado en Steam en Octubre del 2011, notable por unos visuales que combinan un entorno tridimensional con sprites y shaders pixelados.
Jugablemente es sencillísimo, es tan solo un juego de recolección en un laberinto a oscuras, por tanto es comprensible que sea gratuito, además funge perfectamente como título cooperativo puesto que ambos jugadores deben desempeñar uno de dos roles vitales para progresar, véase iluminar o atacar.
Honestamente lo que más me quedó grabado es su estilo visual, que además cuenta con una deliberadamente limitada paleta de colores que lo dota de un acabado muy especial.
¿En conclusión? Fue hecho con mucho cariño y se nota.

Very good game, with nothing even remotely weird or sexualized. It offers a refreshing twist on something familiar that we've almost forgotten. I personally enjoyed the blend of co-op "horror" and indie elements, which meet perfectly in the middle. Just go ahead and try the demo with someone you like (or dislike). If you enjoy it, get the full game—only one player needs to get the DLC. You can experience 4 levels, each with one of two tools, leading to 8 different runs. Plus, with a remix mode for each level, you get 16 different runs, along with unlockable modifiers.
P.S.: You can hit the griddy by pressing the right mouse button while walking forward.

The pixel art drew me in and the gameplay kept me engaged. This is a hidden gem with a unique concept. You and your partner essentially work as a team, one holding the camera and one holding the flashlight. You need to shine the flashlight on the monster before it can be defeated with the camera. All monsters have their own unique behavior which you need to keep in mind. It is truly a unique game and all for free!
