Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood
A year has passed since the events of Maple Creek. But for the past few months, our detective has been hot on the trail of the demonic preacher she fought one year ago. Yet he has managed to always stay one step ahead.
She hoped to bring an end to the chase in the redwood forests of Northern California. But like so many times before, the trail went cold…
And all clues led into nearby Ravenwood Park…

I clicked all over the screen, I waited for HINT to refresh and I skipped a lot of the puzzles and I found a nice story with unexpected plot twists. Definitely made me think! Sacred butterflies and illusions, Im coming for ya!

Outstanding Artifex Mundi HOPA game. I wish the newer ones were as engaging in terms of story and overall entertainment. The Enigmatis series is one of my favourites, but I'm just replaying it now to complete achievements. You'd never know this is a 2013 release - it has a user interface and production values as good as many newer games. Creepy but intriguing.
Pros:
- nice art
- good story that continues from Enigmatis 2 (same protagonist)
- good HO scenes
- varied puzzles (on the easier side)
- interactive map
- smooth user interface
- decent to very good voice acting (including protagonist)
- interesting bonus chapter
- developed as well as published by AM and it shows
Cons:
- there's very little wrong with this game, especially since it's 7 years old (at time of review); maybe some lack of definition and less than perfect face rendering
I highly recommend adding this series to your HOPA game library.

It's okay, story is building on the first game, though still predictable. What I didn't like is that HO scenes are completely changed and went from nice casual ones to something I didn't really like... and then they offered you to do memory-game instead (?)... but if you do that, you won't get achievement for HO scenes... which means you have to play 100% linear game twice, once for HO once for memory. Lost the will to even play the bonus chapter after realizing it. Still a decent casual adventure, seems it would be better than the first if they kept normal HO scenes instead.

If you enjoy hidden-object puzzle games, it's definitely worth checking out.

Excellent hidden object game. In looking at the Steam Achievements, 65% of owners found one "elusive object" - basically they played the game at all, and 60% completed all detective puzzles - which probably means they finished the game. That is an incredibly high completion rate, for a game that took 8 hours to complete.
This is a great value at the full $10 store price. The voice acting is consistently good, the story is solid, and there are cool detective puzzles in addition to the typical HOG puzzles.
I sleuthed the mystery on an Ubuntu Linux computer, and I found no technical issues. Another fine Artifex Mundi production.

I'm a middle aged man who really shouldn't enjoy these games as much as I do!
Clearly aimed at junior age children, I find the stories remind me of books I used to read as a child and find the light puzzle and hidden object elements really relaxing after a day of brain strain at work.
This one isn't quite as good as the original Enigmatis , and is perhaps a little scary for younger children (7 and lower) with a few jump scares, skeletons and mild violence.
7/10 would look for a chain in a pile of rubbish again.

Excellent hidden object game and a definitive step up in quality, storytelling and graphics compared to the first game (you should absolutely play the first one to understand the story what it is about, though).
