ELVERA is a Third-person team based action RPG.
As players, you are offered a roster of unique characters from various timelines, each boasting specialized abilities. Your first step into this trans-temporal conflict is to choose your champion in a pre-match character selection phase.
At the heart of the conflict is Lithos, an ancient golem, awakened from eons of slumber and brought into this strange era. In each round, two manifestations of Lithos are spawned – one original and one a phantom. The Renegades, through a democratic process at the start of each round, decide which Lithos is the real one, setting it on a path to one of two predetermined destinations.
The Faithfuls can achieve victory by identifying and defeating the true Lithos before it reaches its destination. Doing so drastically debilitates the Renegades, putting the Faithfuls in a commanding position for the remainder of the round.
However, should the Faithfuls fall for the phantom and eliminate the false Lithos, they will be stricken with a severe debuff, testing their abilities to their limits.
On the other hand, if the Renegades successfully escort the real Lithos to its objective, they are rewarded with substantial buffs. If the round concludes with the true Lithos still functional, the Renegades are declared the winners.
A round can also be abruptly ended if a team manages to eliminate all opponents.
