Elea is a surreal sci-fi adventure game in which you play as space scientist Elea. In 2073, Earth was struck by a horrid childhood disease and Elea’s husband Ethan joined an expedition to colonize Solace, a habitable exoplanet, to save humanity from extinction. The interstellar ship he was on, Pilgrimage, went radio silent shortly after it reached planet Solace. Thirteen years later, Elea joins a recovery mission to investigate the faith of the expedition. What follows is a wondrous journey through space.

ELEA
Positives:
+ Nice idea and interesting story
+ Fantastic graphics
+ Mostly nice atmosphere
+ Nice style and design
+ Very detailed environments
+ Good sound and music
+ Nice voiceacting
Negatives:
- All the nonsense parts that doesnt do anything to the story
- Sometimes hard to know what to do next
- Quirky controls
- All the bugs and glitches
- Bad facial animations
- The flickering, blinking and other horrible effects that are highly unneccessary
- Overly use of effects in general that make the game look worse
- Very slow walking speed
- The "ending" makes no sense
- Very short length
This could have been a great space walking sim, but it ended up in a bit of a dissappointment. Dont get me wrong, its still worth to play. But it could have been a lot better.
Where is the rest of the game and story? It went nowhere.
And be aware that some parts got horrible effects that a lot of people will find challenging to watch.
Total Score: 7/10

Game with a lot of interesting things and a lot of jank going on but I could not finish the opening because the walking is sooo slow. If they ever fix it I'd love to have another crack at it. If you have money to waste if definitely interesting.

Very interesting game. So far just getting into the story but the house you start out in is very nicely done! The house is futuristic and the story seems appealing. The story continues in space on the space ship where you can access memory simulations. One of the memories is from city on Mars and the city looks amazing. The city has Blade runner, cyber punk, anime kinda feel to it. There are a lot of robots and cool holograms all around. Very nice details and graphics. Here are few first impressions, enjoy.

ELEA is surely very crazy and is an excellent little gem in the walking sim genre. It has interesting story and I like how the devs are using some of Kojima's experimental gameplay elements from PT.
Pros:
- Good Visuals.
- Nice Story.
- Cheap price on sales.
Negative:
- Short.
- At some places you really don't know what to do and have to look at everything to proceed.
- Devs can improve some of the voice acting.
- Some of the fractal visuals are too crazy even for me.

"ELEA" is a great adventure game with solid story & beautiful visuals. A lot has changed since the Early Access days and now the game is a solid walking sim. I'm waiting for news about the second episode/part of the game.

Very early review but I wanted to get out some feedback. On my first launch I got a black screen after the character you play wakes up and answers a phone call. Rebooting the game resolved that issue so no biggie.
I then started the game properly and wow...I think two people made this (though I could be wrong) but it is so beautiful, I mean the house i am walking around in is astonishingly pretty. The voice acting is really good, the lighting, the house design, the way lights come on/go off as you move around, you have to see it to believe how gorgeous it all is. That said I had a few little snapping issues where the camera turned me around but within hours I had the devs asking me where it happened, they are looking into it.
I haven't gone very far in the game so this is just early impressions but if you are sick and tired of those big AAA companies pouring out unfinished ugly bug riddled games and you want to see what talented indie devs can do when they have artistic talent, passion and belief in themselves then Elea is worth taking a look at.
