This game is actually so unique and fun, best five dollars ive spent in my life! Definitely needs a lot of polish, ive encountered quite a bit of bugs, and by quite a bit i mean quite a bit. but thats understandable since its early access. Bug fixes are very frequent as well. I can't wait to see where this game goes!

When this game says "Early Access Game" it REALLY means that. If you are willing to put up with a bit of jank, unfinished mechanics, or missing content the game is very charming. Its a fun and simple with some characters and items that aren't super fun but it gets updated a lot with new content and bug fixes. If you give the game some time and a grain of salts its a joy ride to duck and weave between attacks while throwing out your own attacks. If you find a bug and post about it on the discord there is a pretty good chance it gets patched.

After the tutorial, you find yourself in a tavern where you can select a character and enter a portal to begin a stage. At first, only the farmer is available, but completing objectives allows you to unlock over twenty more characters. When you hover over the character silhouette, you will see the criteria for unlocking them. Aside from distinct weapons, each character has unique attributes, perks, and a special item that recharges after completing a certain number of rooms.
Stages are random and consist of numerous floors, each of which contains several rooms. The fun aspect is that each floor has a unique style and foes. It begins with a castle, progresses to steampunk aesthetics, and so on.
Most of the rooms have enemies to defeat, however there are also shops and boss rooms. Because there are also rooms with missions linked to new characters, you must be lucky to find them. Fortunately, you can unlock some just by beating floors. Each found character has a spot in the tavern that gradually becomes more active and less boring.
Shops sell perks and weapons that cost coins. Coins are not only dropped by killed enemies, but they can also be obtained from chests that reward you for beating an arena. Crates and other wooden objects can be destroyed, but they hold nothing.
Combat is about continual movement and attacking. Movement is essential since enemies fire large colorful balls, lasers, and attack over the area. Most of the attacks are visible, allowing you to move around them. If you need an extra boost, you can dodge out of the way, but you must wait a few seconds before attempting to dodge again.
If you do not take out enemies fast enough, the arena can quickly fill up with many threats. Furthermore, they fire in various patterns. Some may fire in a straight line, some in diagonal patterns, and some will form a large wall of balls that remains for a few seconds. Of course, there are melee enemies that will constantly come after you and attempt to stab you.
Unfortunately, there are some cheap attacks and deaths that appear out of nowhere. Your health amount is misleading because each strike depletes it significantly. This is most commonly associated with area attacks that are difficult to detect due to a lack of visual cues. Because the gameplay takes place in first-person, you have no idea what is going on behind or around you.
The robot boss, for instance, throws bombs and swings his arms, but you don’t know from where the danger is coming from. I managed to cheat the fight by jumping on top of a building with a trampoline and avoiding any damage.
The weapon you use determines how you attack. They all have a main attack, but some have a secondary attack and a passive bonus. Each weapon has unique values for three stats: damage, speed, and range. By tapping and holding the info button on a weapon, you will see its specific stats as well as colored numbers indicating which stat is superior to the one in your hand. If the weapon has a perk, it will also include a brief explanation of it.
After defeating all enemies, you get an orb, which will either grant you a random perk or allow you to pick between three random perks. You can only choose one, but there are several nice upgrades such as poison, which helps you destroy enemies faster, and extra dash, which summons lightning.
