Dragon’s Wake is a powerful tale of discovery, growth and courage, all told without words. As a fledgling dragon, you will be born into an unknown world – and directly experience the wonders and threats that you discover. As you grow and gain strength and power in this 2D Adventure Platform game, the decisions and choices you make will change the lives of the people left in your wake.

Alright, first let's talk about the positives. The art is really really nice for a small indie dragon game, and the plot and interactions with the world are also very enjoyable. The two story paths that there are, which I will not be giving spoilers for, feel distinct and like you have actually made a difference.
Now for the criticisms. While the difficulty in achieving both story ṕaths is fun, and I'm not sure if this is just me, but figuring out the best path has quite a few components to it that would take several playthroughs of an otherwise short game. If you like it, that's great, but if you're feeling worn from the jankiness of the controls which I think are supposed to be more precision platformer then you're unlikely to replay it.
Secondly, the controls: It would on ocassion feel like the controls which had been consistently doing one action for the past 15 minutes would start behaving in an entirely different way. That's the only reason I didn't finish out the "bad" story path in the game.
Overall I think this game is definitely worth trying now or on sale, as the price is exactly where I'd play it for the 3-4 hours at most that you'd get from it.

Short but sweet. A great example of a game that can tell you a bunch of things without a hint of dialogue. The story, the mechanics, it's all taught in an intuitive way. And it's clearly a small passion project which makes it all the more endearing.

Short and sweet - if you're looking for something to pass an hour, this is a good one. The art reminds me of a children's storybook, and it's got a simply done, well-executed story. Nothing too flashy or elaborate here, but the bones are good. And based on these locked achievements, I've still got some game ahead of me to enjoy, so take that for what it's worth on the replayability.
I will say, the controls can be a bit... wonky to get used to, but once you do it's pretty smooth from there.

I recently replayed this game after nearly a decade, and i have to say that i love everything about it. My nostalgia was fired up by the beautiful pixel graphics, fun art style and unique storytelling (at least for the time). Dragons wake is a very basic and incredibly charming game that made me happy as a kid and even happier as an adult. I hope the developer is doing well, though it may be pointless, I can't help but hope for a sequel some day, because this game had me hooked the entire time, so much so that i finally got the good ending just today.

Charming, clearly made with love. Only complaint is that you can't customize inputs, and the ZXC setup is awkward. But otherwise, short and sweet
