Ah yes, Doraemon the game, only been waiting 30 years for this.
I've never seen Nobita work this hard, besides that... so far this game is very good. It has classic HM/SOS gameplay but the graphics, music and story element feel more modern. It has my favorite type of art style yet for this type of game.
I bought it the day it released, pretty much on a whim, and I have to say that I couldn't be happier. It is such a chill game and I love that there is so much story to it. At first, the amount of cut scenes were bothering me, but now it’s made me really get into the characters. I can spend hours on this one because everything is so pretty and calming. It makes it feel like grinding with purpose, so it doesn't feel overly repetitive. And the game moves quickly too, it's not like some where you're having to chop trees and pound rocks for days on end to get the resources you need to upgrade, so I love that too. It can be very slow-paced, even more than SDV in my opinion, which can be nice. I had a lot of fun discovering things and figuring out the world's little mysteries all while hoarding items and planting way too many crops.
There’s also so many quality of life improvements over the previous one... I loved it. One thing I love is that you can enter a timeless mode for decorating your farm and house, to your hearts content. (A bit like in Animal Crossing and also Trio of Towns for the farm layout) The house is also much larger than in the first game. Mining feels faster, upgrades are less daunting and prices overall more reasonable. But what I really love is that you (Noby) share a house with your friends and they can join you on your fishing expeditions or for watering crops or catching bugs and there's 2-player mode as well.
The art work is so wholesome and beautiful, it’s just as amazing if not more so than the first game and it got me really invested in the village and characters. It’s a mix of hand drawn backgrounds and 3D characters and it fits so well. It's a refreshing take on the inherit a farm or lose your memory and stumble into a village with a farm that needs tending. I also love, love, love the addition of napping and I think that all future farming sims need to introduce that feature.
There's lots of story to be had, and the To-do list guides you along even letting you know what weather events need to be triggered. If you played the first there are lots of QoL improvements that have been added to iron out the quirks in the first one. As some other reviews mentioned a huge farm to start is difficult to water so I'd start small but later on you can have another character follow you and help out, they'll also catch fish, harvest crops or even mine along with you. The farm decorating is some of the best in the series though if you enjoy that, lots of gorgeous sets and even a gadget later unlocks that can move growing crops and trees without destroying them (please mainline SoS games let us have this!).
Honestly, it's not as deep as Stardew (what is?) but the core gameplay loops of farming, mining, socializing, and upgrading are addictive. It's very fleshed out and there’s a lot to do/purchase/upgrade. It feels different from other farming sims Ive played and I like the fact that it doesn't haven a relationship aspect so I can focus on building up my farm. It’s also super easy to befriend people to advance the plotlines. It doesn't really add anything new or revolutionary to the farming formula, but it's well put together. Try it if you're looking for a new wholesome game to try out.
Too bad we can't marry the cat, l've always been a bit of a furry.

i can already tell without having finished the game, not even close.
that this gameplay is much more enjoyable, in every aspect compared to the first doraemon game.
the first doraemon game was torture and annoying.
but this one is doesnt leave you in the dust, you know what to do.
yeah definitely better than the first one,
but i still felt like the endgame lacked content, it got a bit repetetive/boring.
they should go the "rune factory route" with a bit of combat of some sort , slightly rpg, and a few minigames of some sort.

10/10 Masterpiece!
Thank you so much for releasing this sequel on PC, Bandai Namco.
This game is SOOOO MUCH better than the first game. The story mode is more interesting, you don't have to grind as much, the locations look amazing, the soundtrack is cozy and relaxing as always.
Basically all the problems of the previous game have been fixed in this one. You can check out my review of Doraemon Story of Seasons .
Right now, this is my favorite Story of Seasons game. I hope that more Doraemon games will be released in the future.
Overall, and a question for Bandai Namco:
Overall, I am thankful that you have released a sequel for Doraemon SOS.
I look forward to playing more of your older games, Bandai Namco. Please release your games on the GOG platform as well. I would be very grateful for that, because licensed games don't last forever and it's hard to get games for the next generation.

This game is very interesting to play, not only gardening, you can also ask other NPC characters for help to work together. As well as lots of interesting clothes and tools

Very interesting and touching gameplay. Only sad thing is I happened to finish it within one game year without googling any walk-through.
Is this game shorter than pervious one? Anyways, I really enjoyed it.

Very recommended for Doraemon lovers. The game is fun, not that simple, sometimes boring due tue repetitive task. But the story inside the game is really good and entertaining.
