The game is set in an alternate reality of the series. The game's story takes place in Limbo City, a modern-day city secretly controlled by all-powerful demons, manipulating humanity through the comforts of life, with the demons themselves residing in a parallel plane called 'Limbo'. Living on the fringes of the brainwashed society is Dante, a young man at odds with the demons who constantly hunt him, and the civilian authorities they control. Dante is warned by a young woman named Kat that he is in danger just as a Hunter demon drags him into Limbo. Dante navigates the Bellevue Pier's carnival and kills the demon with Kat's aid, who can see into Limbo with her psychic powers. Dante returns to the human world and accepts Kat's offer to meet with her boss, Vergil. Along the way, Kat explains that Vergil leads "The Order", a rogue vigilante organisation intent on exposing the demons and releasing the world from their control. Vergil tells Dante that with his help the Order can bring down the demons. Dante learns that he and Vergil are not only long lost twin brothers but also Nephilim, the children of Angel and Demon and the only beings capable of killing the cruel demon king Mundus. Their demon father Sparda was Mundus' chief lieutenant in the war against the angels until he betrayed Mundus when he fell in love with the angel Eva and sired the twins. Mundus, afraid of the Nephilim, attacked the family and killed Eva.

PL: Tak szczerze jeżeli chodzi o ten tytuł to na samym końcu mnie wtszonseło jeszcze ta muzyka ale nie three days grace tylko mniej popularna a mianowicie combichrist ale gra po prostu zajebista w chuj jedna z najlepszych jakich mogłem zagrać jak i far cry 3 oraz wiele innych tytułów polecam 15/10
ENG: Honestly, when it comes to this title, at the very end I was also impressed by the music, but not three days grace, but the less popular one, namely combichrist, but the game is simply ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing, one of the best I have ever played, just like Far Cry 3 and many other titles, I recommend it 15/10

Bardzo dobry konsolowy tytuł rozrywkowy.
Rozgrywka satysfakcjonuje i o dziwo Capcom nie wrzucił tu tego radzieckiego scamu DRM.
Gra oczywiście już podchodzi pod retro i zdecydowanie warta tylko na przecenie 90procent.

Od razu mówię, że przed tą grą nie grałam w żadną inną grę z serii Devil May Cry. Ale szczerze? Nawet podoba mi się to, że fabuła jest jak z filmu klasy B, ot takie guilty pleasure. Bezbłędne: gameplay, soundtrack i dizajn dały mi ogromy frajdy. No a poza tym, DmC to nadal dobra reklama dla osób, którzy wcześniej tej serii nie znali. Ja już mam zakupione pierwsze trzy oryginalne gry i z chęcią je poznam. :)

Gra jest zajebista, dostałam kurwicy i nerwicy oraz bólu dupy po zobaczeniu bossów.

Odważny reboot serii, który moim zdaniem wyszedł świetnie. Klimat nowego Limbo, rozwalających się poziomów i bardziej brudny, współczesny vibe są idealne. Dla mnie to duży plus, choć wiem, że nie każdemu przypadnie do gustu, szczególnie fanom gotyckiej atmosfery starszych części.
Walka jest dynamiczna i satysfakcjonująca, system combo daje ogrom frajdy i jest łatwiejszy do ogarnięcia niż w klasykach, a projekty lokacji to czysta kreatywność. Minusem może być to, że fabuła i postać nowego Dantego odbiegają od tego, co znaliśmy w DMC3 czy DMC4 - jedni to kupią, inni odrzucą.
Dla mnie to jednak świetny slasher, który broni się własnym stylem i pokazuje, że seria potrafi być czymś więcej niż tylko powtarzaniem starej formuły.

Odbiega trochę klimatem od klasycznych części - nie ma tu japońskiej duszy anime - ale wciąż potrafi wciągnąć.
Fabuła to kwestia gustu, jednak gameplay broni się w pełni: dynamiczny, satysfakcjonujący i świetny na szybkie sesje.
To gra, przy której można się wyłączyć i skupić tylko na siekaniu demonów.
Polecam fanom slasherów, nie tylko DMC.
