The game is set in an alternate reality of the series. The game's story takes place in Limbo City, a modern-day city secretly controlled by all-powerful demons, manipulating humanity through the comforts of life, with the demons themselves residing in a parallel plane called 'Limbo'. Living on the fringes of the brainwashed society is Dante, a young man at odds with the demons who constantly hunt him, and the civilian authorities they control. Dante is warned by a young woman named Kat that he is in danger just as a Hunter demon drags him into Limbo. Dante navigates the Bellevue Pier's carnival and kills the demon with Kat's aid, who can see into Limbo with her psychic powers. Dante returns to the human world and accepts Kat's offer to meet with her boss, Vergil. Along the way, Kat explains that Vergil leads "The Order", a rogue vigilante organisation intent on exposing the demons and releasing the world from their control. Vergil tells Dante that with his help the Order can bring down the demons. Dante learns that he and Vergil are not only long lost twin brothers but also Nephilim, the children of Angel and Demon and the only beings capable of killing the cruel demon king Mundus. Their demon father Sparda was Mundus' chief lieutenant in the war against the angels until he betrayed Mundus when he fell in love with the angel Eva and sired the twins. Mundus, afraid of the Nephilim, attacked the family and killed Eva.

War mein erstes Devil May Cry und ich bin mega happy.
Die Story war mega mitreißend und auch gegen ende sehr traurig.

I don't understand why this game is hated so hard by Devil May Cry community. Well yeah, Dante is different in the reboot. That is what a reboot is all about. I personally think, that the story and lore of the reboot are definitely not as good as in the other games, but it is still far from bad, and the gameplay very fun. The gameplay is still easy to learn, hard to master. The soundtrack is great, and it has a few excellent bossfights.
I think the game got to much hate from the DmC community, and should be played by more people.

Finish the game. Finish the game again and get all Collectables. You want all achievements? Finish the game in higher difficulty a couples more times.

Eines der besten Spiele mit Abstand.
Gute Sprüche, sehr gute Grafik und eine abwechslungsreiche Steuerung.
Kann jedem nur raten es sich zu kaufen. Bestes Dmc

Die Graphik ist genial und das Kampfsystem finde ich sehr dynamisch, abwechslungsreiche Waffentypen für Nah-/ Fernkampf oder beides! (Aquila ist definitiv mein Favorit!)
Die Story finde ich soweit auch gut umgesetzt und interessant! Klar manche Dialoge gleichen eher einem Sprüche-Schlagabtausch mit wenig Inhalt aber das passt halt zum Game und den Charakteren! xD
Der Zusatz nach beenden des Spiel bietet außerdem eine spannende, neue Perspektive! ;)
Habe das Game mit dem Controller gezockt!
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Ich habe das Game noch nicht allzu lange gespielt, kann aber nach 5 Missionen sagen dass es Hammer geil ist. Viele werden sich aufgrund der Grafik oder der ganzen Tastenkombinationen aufregen, aber man gewöhnt sich sehr schnell daran. Die Atmosphäre, die Story und das Character Design ist einfach nur geil.
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.
