DmC: Devil May Cry

The game is set in an alternate reality of the series. The game's story takes place in Limbo City, a modern-day city secretly controlled by all-powerful demons, manipulating humanity through the comforts of life, with the demons themselves residing in a parallel plane called 'Limbo'. Living on the fringes of the brainwashed society is Dante, a young man at odds with the demons who constantly hunt him, and the civilian authorities they control. Dante is warned by a young woman named Kat that he is in danger just as a Hunter demon drags him into Limbo. Dante navigates the Bellevue Pier's carnival and kills the demon with Kat's aid, who can see into Limbo with her psychic powers. Dante returns to the human world and accepts Kat's offer to meet with her boss, Vergil. Along the way, Kat explains that Vergil leads "The Order", a rogue vigilante organisation intent on exposing the demons and releasing the world from their control. Vergil tells Dante that with his help the Order can bring down the demons. Dante learns that he and Vergil are not only long lost twin brothers but also Nephilim, the children of Angel and Demon and the only beings capable of killing the cruel demon king Mundus. Their demon father Sparda was Mundus' chief lieutenant in the war against the angels until he betrayed Mundus when he fell in love with the angel Eva and sired the twins. Mundus, afraid of the Nephilim, attacked the family and killed Eva.

I don't understand why people claim this is a bad DMC Game, ONLY because of the haircut.
I mean, the first trailer back then also shook me but this was another time, the game is not like the first proto trailers (Although i would have liked to see the content because it was so mysterious)
Saying that, Guys, if you like DMC5 you like DmC, which got inspired by the one other.
And to be honest, DmC is far more superior than what DMC5 is, even Vergil got a campaign in this.
I hope we get a second DmC. Waaaay more quality than whatever kingdom hearts stuff DMC5 was.

Technik: Nichts dran auszusetzen.
Typisch Actionspiel (Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Ninja Gaiden usw.).
Devil May Cry einfach mal neu interpretiert in der modernen Zeit.

What an underrated game.
I played all DMCs (DMC 4 is my favorite followed by 5,1,3,2). So I had to play this as well.
Wasn't sure about it, cause the other games from Ninja Theory I've played (Enslaved, Hellblade 1) were kinda mid I'd say.
But brother this game checks all the perfect boxes. It has become my favorite DMC and easily one of my Favorite Hack'n Slash games overall.
The music is incredible. Easily my favorite of all DMCs (but DMC5 has banger Soundtrack as well).
The boss fights are so hilariously fun and creative its almost unreal.
The combat is challenging enough, but so smooth and well thought how to handle the different styles. And it's definitely a little bit easier then DMC 5 or 4. But not too easy, its simply perfect (talking about the normal difficulty).
The chars are cool and edgy, the story is edgy, the German translation is very good I'd say.
Graphics are quite good and it feels so good with constant 165FPS.
Some small downsides are the coloring of the world. It is a bit exaggerated, but whatever.
Biggest downside is the DLC Vergil's Downfall. It's so bad. Vergil is - unlike in the other DMCs - very unfun to play here and the cutscenes are so low budget and the story is so bad. TF was that?

Probably one of the best Games ive ever played in my life, even thos its this old and a "spin off" game.
The Story is really Good and well mixed with seriousness and Funny Jokes, but the best is the Fighting, the fighting is so well made its so fun to slash and kill the monster.
The upgrade system gives so many options to variate your own playstyle and weapons.
GREAT GAME!!
