Discouraged Workers TEEN
Overview
As a hospital coordinator, Ga-yeon fell in love with a doctor at the hospital she was working in and they had an affair even though the doctor was a married man. When the director found out, she was fired. For over a year she tried to find another job, but her mental uneasiness eventually made her give up and she became a recluse.
A year later, in the spring of 2013, her younger sister, Hye-na, and her first love Yunwoo come to her.
A story about the dark side of today’s youth and serious life events happening around Ga-yeon.

This game is… different. Very different from happy VNs. If you feel triggered about depression and suicide, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. Overall, I think this VN was made for a more mature audience (even if this is the teen version; yes, there's no explicit porn or very direct dialogue about sex, but still... I feel that this game still carries a "heavy meaning", maybe not that suitable for people who aren't used to this kind of story), and that’s why I enjoyed it. There’s just a little complaint tho: why all the characters sprites follow a certain art style and Yunwoo’s sprite is totally different? And to be honest, I liked the art style used on his sprite a lot better than the other ones…
I liked the BGs a lot too, along with the BGM. Get this game on sale, and get ready for drama.
7/10.

A quite weird visual novel, actually.. in some senses.
First point - there is no interaction, there are no choices until the end of the game, which is fortunately quite long for its genre, even if you have constantly the feeling of being unable to have an impact on the game itself.
Towards the end, you are asked to save some times (only twice actually but anyways XD) and you can make your first and only choices.. but nothing really breathtaking, although they're of course fundamental for the (few) endings.
Second point, all the achievements are hidden but playing through the game you constantly get the progress, like Book Reader (13/21) or Art Collector (12/15) . Which is definitely strange, 'cos since all the achievements are hidden you can't check your progress on Steam but only in game.. I really don't see the point of making all the 14 of them secret.
Graphics are quite nice (sometimes really good to me), but the soundtrack is quite boring and over-recycled.
Overall, the story's enjoyable and not too short but the complete lack of choices makes this visual novel a little strange. It's more a visual book. Fortunately, there's a gallery in which you can see all the artwork and such, and it's not automatic since I saw dozens of visual novels way less thorough.
There's also a great soundtrack folder, but as I said I found the music quite boring but maybe it's just my taste!
I'm not going to spoiler anything about the story, which starts deep from the beginning, and it's of course the only thing that keeps this game up; so, if you're into visual novels that treat reality themes and not only love this is a nice choice, well done and touching at some points, but don't expect too much and overall don't expect to be able to choose the direction you're taking :P

This game is pretty short, but the storyline drew my attention. Discouraged Workers is a visual novel game that includes a depressed 28 year old woman struggling to find a job (discouraged). There's three routes in this game I believe, however there's a lack of interactivity till the end of the storylines.

This is the Teen version of Discouraged Workers. It is an interesting read, that tries to deal with the undercurrent of depression in some people's lives. There are only a couple spots where choices come in, but in most cases it is a kinetic novel.
Fully recommend.

I mentioned on the workers game that I played both of the games and felt the same for both. I really feel like this is a good representation of anxiety and depression and what it can do to a person. It's a great visual novel and I highly recommend it.

EDIT: as of July 6th, 2020 I have been told by the developer that all of these issues have been fixed so i'm changing my review from NO to YES
currently has a bunch of code exceptions that make life unnecessarily difficult -- mainly defining issues with Gamejolttrophy, Gjset, GJcheck1, and GJcheck2 -- (although the game can be completed by ignoring them every time they pop up), and for achievement completion 10/14 require you to link your game with a Gamejolt account. One final thing I noticed while playing the game (although not game-breaking) was it thought that I was on a windows 8 OS when i have a windows 10 OS installed; If these issues can be fixed then I would recommend the game
