This program actually works half decently! In fact, it's the only thing I can seem to get working! Most of these video converting apps will either give you a giant PNG-fueled AVI file or a tiny little low bitrate MP4, so I had trouble finding an app that would give me a file I can work with. By using AI scalars, sometimes you end up with an insane file you cannot put in your editor, so you need to slice down that data into a useable bitrate. Well with apps like Movavi Video Converter 2024, you are limited to 65 Mbit/s exactly, whereas I am using a 3500 Mb/s file. With DikDik video kit, if I enter 500 mbit/s it actually just works. Seems to let me get up to about 850 Mb/s, which is exactly perfect! Also I tried pretty much every other video converting app on Steam, and not many will allow you to process a 5120px+ wide video file, but DikDik just WORKS. It doesn't care, it just processes it, or tries.
But it's not all fun and games! DikDik Video Converter (separate app) doesn't seem to work (the reviews there reflect my experience) and the batch processing tool in Video Editor doesn't work for me (not many options there), but if you just load 1 file into the editor and use it as a converter, it's probably not a bad place to look if you are wanting to convert something and nothing else seems to work. They should just throw Video Converter in this video kit package here, since it's the same price and tries to do the same thing.
DikDik for the win! Somehow my ultrawide converting savior.
