Devil’s Hunt
Based on the original novel by Paweł Leśniak, “Equilibrium”, this third-person action game resurrects the everlasting fight between light and darkness, as a full-fledged war between Angels and Demons seems imminent and our world is the proposed battleground. You play as Desmond, once a bon vivant son of a rich entrepreneur. Desmond’s life has been drawn into a sequence of unfortunate events that have led him to lose most of his humanity. Making a deal with the devil, Desmond gains demonic powers, becoming the hell’s executor. He is both the destroyer and the savior, with his human part gradually deteriorating as his hunger for vengeance grows. He fights fiercely with his fists and claws, making use of the skills offered by his demonic and human side. Passing through the gates of hell and back, he will eventually have to decide about his impact on the future of humanity. Fast-paced combat – Punch, slash, and kick your way through the armies of demons and angels in Devil’s Hunt hack ‘n slash battles. Change forms – Unleash your inner demon by flipping between Desmond‘s human and infernal form. Choose between 3 different fighting schools to conquer each challenge your way! Story based on ‘Equilibrium’ – Devil’s Hunt is based on the Polish novel series and its story is told through cinematic cutscenes.

First up: This game has a lot of bad reviews at the moment.
And to be honest, this is one of the only games that has bad reviews that I have played. Normally, I wouldn't bother.
But after I played it, I must say: There are much worse games out there, this game is not great, either in story or gameplay but it's not bad either. The game feels very rushed and oversaturated at the end, just to make it a bit longer. But honestly, the parts I like and dislike the most are the cutscenes and overall story. They are so stereotypical and bad comedy that I actually laughed out loud (in a good way) but they tried to make it serious and that kills it immediately. If they would have ridden this bad comedy with stereotypes it would be a good time, even if the gameplay kinda sucks.
The cutscenes are the good part of this game, and that's why I still recommend it. I had some fun, and it was a game, so good job I guess.
Else: I encountered only one bug twice, where the audio engine crashed the game during a cutscene, but since there is a skip cutscene button, it was not a big problem. Playtime is up to 7-9 hours.

Clunky-but-punchy combat, fantastic graphics and a (linear) story that takes a little too long to get going. Worth checking out if you like beat-em-ups. There's a decent game here, under the Euro-jank. Be prepared for some occasional CTDs.
5/10 - average (but a decent first effort)
Total size on my hard-drive: 22GB
fyi The game ends with "to be continued." Unfortunately, developer Layopi Games closed soon after launch, so no sequel is coming.

An Action-Adventure and very much high-dynamic game with it's own good looking setting. Would you become Saviour or Destroyer? Or maybe there is the other option?

Graphics are nice, and monsters looks pretty cool. But the combat a little bad, takes some time to get use to. For old game its not too terrible. Need a fast pc.

I like it. Mindless fun. Don't see why so many negative comments. It's not meant to be an AAA game or even AA.. but it's fun.. game gets straight into it. No long boring cutscenes. No dumb unless dialogue. You get straight into beating up monsters. And it's cheap.. some people wana complain about everything. If it's not your genre then move on and don't wreck it for everybody else. Too many crybabies around these dayz

I'm very on the fence about this one. I wish there was a middle option. On one hand, there are some interesting aspects of the game, and I feel like if they were fleshed out a little bit more, this game could have been something really awesome. What it is, is unique. It's not often the tale of Heaven and Hell is told where the protagonist starts off the way Desmond did. There were some cliches involved in the story, but I will admit that quite often it turned to a completely different direction from what I was assuming each and every time something happened. The graphics are fine, not stellar, but they're still good enough, and the environment of Hell is really well done and pretty (as much as Hell can be). I had the same issue with one of the first cut scenes causing my game to crash, but I just skipped it and no more crashes happened during the game.
Where this game falls flat for me was that it was repetitive in nature and by the end, I just felt like I wanted to finish it and be done with it--which is never a good feeling. The music was incredibly loud in some areas, and despite turning it down multiple times, it remained the same--which made the dialogue really low despite being on 100%. I also found that the lack of a quick recover button was incredibly infuriating when you got knocked back and locked in animation, especially when you were cornered by multiple enemies and couldn't get out of it. One particular demon was just annoying af the whole time (it shows up about 3/4ths into the game). It would have been good if you could block all incoming attacks vs just the special ones that highlighted when you could. It also would have been better if your ultimate ability was powered up during the game. It made it feel flat in the end and almost pointless because there was no growth for it, as well as the trees to choose from. More options would have been better, or even a fourth ability instead of just three, so it didn't feel so repetitive.
Overall, I DID enjoy my time playing most of this game, which is why I'm still giving it a thumbs up. I can overlook cheesy and corny, and some of the plot holes, or the lack of information which could have been expanded upon. But its a very hesitant thumbs up. It's cheap enough sitting at its regular price, and it's not as dreadful as some of the reviews have stated, but if you're concerned, I've seen this game on sale for $3 and that's worth giving it a shot without feeling like your money's been wasted. :)
