A massive tower of stone emerged one day in a land wasted by war, plague and famine. You are one of the many drawn to it by legends of fortune and salvation. Will you succumb to it, conquer it, or discover the secrets deep within?
Devil Spire is a hardcore first-person pseudo-3D roguelite action RPG dungeon crawler stylized after retro PC games, developed by a guy and his bros while locked in quarantine. Inspired by classics like King’s Field and Heretic.
FEATURING:
- 24 weapon classes, including ranged and throwing ones, with real dual wielding!
- 48 unique spells, plus 48 equipment enchantments!
- 10 dungeon types, each with their own properties, enemies and bosses!
- 6 game modes, including a 100-floor gauntlet and a boss rush arena!
- Fully customizable, dynamic character portraits including exotic races!
- Many interactive objects like traps, barrels, crates, cards, shady characters and, of course, chests full of loot!
- A kick button!
Immerse yourself in these treacherous dungeons and prove yourself victorious!

The enemies are boring. Bosses are sometimes hard to read. But all the other things are awesome. Simple yet satisfying crafting, variety of weapons, mechanics that you cand find to increase you survival chance. For 5$ that I paid - totally worth it.

Devil Spire is a game where there are a lot of choices you can make on every floor of every run and every single one of them matters.

Amazing little dungeon crawler. Once you figure out the mechanics, it really flows quite well. With enough skill, you could beat this game without any luck, and for everyone else, with enough tries, you can find a set of items and buffs that will carry you through the game.
The visuals and atmosphere are very cool, the freaky enemies and sometimes absurd spells gives this game a feeling of an old game from your childhood you don't remember buying and you've lost the manual.
The biggest gripe i've got is some rings/spells are useless/redundant (one ring gives you extra oil for the laps, and another gives you infinite oil, for example) and the 100 floor mode (normal run is 25) feels like a bit of a slog and i wouldn't do it again. Also the pacifist achievement is insane.
That said, after those 20 hours, i've feel like i've seen enough of this game, finished all the endings, and overall im very satisfied with the game.
I really hope the dev makes a more story focused game in this style, because the atmosphere and the tiny bits of lore we get (mostly from the starting town and steam trading cards) really make me hungry for more.

extremely fun, dev is one of the most active devs ive ever seen or talked to, its a solo dev team with one brazilian dude doing all of it and hes incredibly responsive to critisism and bug fixes. recently it was featured in a humble bundle, which brought its reviews down from mostly positive to mixed, really hampering development of devil spire 2. id take it with a grain of salt, most of the reviews are about how hard the game is, which it is. it is hard, hands down theres no way to avoid that, but being hard doesnt make a game BAD. first and foremost its a roguelike, and i dont know if youve played any roguelikes before but the whole point of them is to play, die, and then use that knowledge to go further in your next playthrough. in terms of the actual game its a charming retro dungeon crawler with combat thats focused on parrying and outmaneuvering opponents; "run from the slow corner the swift" and its nature of its builds allows the player to be very fluid in how they play. i think its great and deserves a whole hearted chance, oh and if something is too hard just ask their discord for tips lmao. love it 0/10 ithiro sama terrible game crashes on stage 569 nightmare chaos 2x speed. unplayable garbage

Very strong King's Field-esque dungeon crawling. Satisfying exploration and a nice variety of weapons/spells. Easy to dip in and out of for some casual questing

Recently tried out this game due to it being on sale. And I have played most of the modes (Still find new things in the game every run i start) Its a lot of fun the combat is enjoyable and the different type of builds really make each run feel different. Zones are random and theres a bunch of cool bosses.

A Kingsfield style roguelike. It's fun and it embraces the fact you can upgrade your spells and stats to absurd levels. As a bonus, you can always drop by the Devil Spire Discord where the dev is very social and giving access to pre-alpha versions of the sequel.
