Gra absolutnie wspaniała, uwielbiam ją! Nic się nie zestarzała. Super historia, solidne postaci. CUDO! Więcej Deusa!

It's actually a great game on it's own, fell to the sidelines mostly due to questionable ideas of Square Enix, publisher of the franchise at the time. Poor marketing decisions, microtransactions inside singleplayer game and story ending kind of in the middle of the road. It's like Star Wars ending on Empire Strikes Back, or Lord of the Rings stopping at Two Towers without knowing what happens next. Well, technically we do, but there are no dots to show he we got there, in this case journey is more important than destination. Shame on Enix and later Embracer on pulling the plug.
As the main plot line ends in the middle, it's difficult to give it a final score. There are some call backs to the original game from 2000, hints about future or how our actions are slowly setting up the stage for next installment. Game's main strength are it's side quests, including DLC's. First bank heist is ok, though it's clearly cut from the base game. Misadventures with Pritchard were a fun experience, while Criminal Past was just great all around with level design, characters and multiple ways to approach the problem. Overall writing mostly focuses on sort of mechanic apartheid, which is just a tool to use by real people behind a scene to manipulate political outcomes to their own ends. I know people had mixed opinions on this, but the entire prequel story was all about watching the world slowly going to shit and no matter what we do, we are slowly slipping into that dystopian DX1 future. Certain choices are difficult, you can't save anyone (unless you are really fast sometimes) and you have to make a couple of some really tough calls, which make actual difference. You might play a different level or have different allies, who will make next chapter much easier, you never know. We also gets some nice talks about philosophy, morality and so on, always nice food for thought.
Graphics and soundtrack: game is just beautiful, they got rid of that yellow filter aesthetic - which was fine, but now we are done with the "golden age" of mechanical augmentations and that's what we get. Clearly, graphics peaked in the middle of last decade and right now we are mostly going in circles or even getting worse at it. Battles give a visual spectacle and there are a couple of nice vistas to enjoy, I did also like the reflection of modern Prague with more a cyberpunk tendencies. I was in Prague once so be warned: it's not a straight 1:1 copy, more like "inspired by". Don't use it as a map. :)
Gameplay is greatly improved compared to predecessor and offers many possibilities for various builds like sneaking, hacking, stuns, kills, assassinations or just going plain old guns blazing. Be warned that you have to be careful with aggression as you can be quite easy to dispatch if caught in crossfire, especially early on without good combat abilities yet. Use terrain and play smart, game rewards a more cerebral approach.
Overall a solid recommendation. With -85% discount, it's a steal. It was actually for free on Epic at some point.
PS Breach mode is considered a very very mixed bag. Give it a try if you like a virtual reality world with daily timed challenges, personally I played some and skipped, but it's all matter of taste.

DXMD is a very fine game. Build variety is pretty high, with some pretty cool augmentation combos. Both stealth and loud gameplay is very fun. with many lethal and non-lethal options in combat. Gorgeous graphics, but an extremely poorly optimized engine - this game barely works. The craftsmanship with level design is unparalleled, Golem City, Dvali theatre and some others I won't spoil are really cool locations with so many pathways and options. If I had to say what brings this game down SIGNIFICANTLY is the story and general engine jank. While the latter can be tolerated if you have experience with Bethesda games for example (lol), the former is just unforgivable. I would explain, however just like the game, im going to cut this review halfway through. :)

Całkiem przyjemna gra z fajnym mrocznym klimatem i cybernetycznymi wszczepami.

From time to time I like to re-play games, which I found unforgetable, with captivating storyline. I started with Human Revolution.
Adam is one of the most iconic and one of the most favourite characters for me.
