EIne gelungenes Prequel der Klassiker von den frühen 2000ern Jahren. Schade nur das die Serie nicht fortgesetzt wird.

I played Deus Ex for the very first time in my life. First of all, it’s important to understand that it’s primarily a stealth game, and it’s heavily story-driven — that’s its biggest strength. If you try to play it like a pure shooter, you probably won’t enjoy it as much.
On the one hand, the game gives you the choice to take a more aggressive, action-based approach, which I appreciate. But to be honest, it doesn’t really work that well — the enemy AI just isn’t smart enough to make combat engaging. Enemies often react unrealistically during fights, making the experience less enjoyable.
Instead, the game shines when you focus on stealth and only use your weapons in emergencies. Even then, the stealth mechanics have some weak points. Guards tend to follow the same routines over and over, making their movements predictable. In some cases, they’ll completely ignore you when you’re right next to them, but suddenly hear you through a wall and raise the alarm instantly. These are some of the gameplay issues that break immersion a bit.
Where Deus Ex really stands out is in its story, level design, and the freedom it gives you to solve situations in multiple ways. You can find hidden paths, use weapons, or rely on your unique abilities — like tearing down walls or turning invisible — to bypass enemies. Discovering these different options feels rewarding and adds real depth to the experience.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game and I’m looking forward to playing the next chapter: Mankind Divided.

Die Geschichte ist sehr Detail reich, man entdeckt nach und nach viel wissen über die Welt auf. Es macht einfach Spaß in die Geschichte einzutauchen. Ein Großes Lob an die Entwickler, weiter so!

Läuft unter W10 problemlos, sieht aber halt nur ok und nicht wirklich schön aus. Wenn man darüber hinwegsehen kann, bekommt man eine tolle Story und kann sich dem gewünschten Spielstil entsprechend als Hacker, Schleicher oder Rambo entfalten - oder halt alles auf einmal. Das Spiel ist sehr gut auf deutsch vertont, Abstürze habe ich nicht erlebt. Kritikpunkte sind für mich das für Sammelwütige wie mich auch nach maximaler Aufwertung noch zu kleine Inventar und die künstlich begrenzte Anzahl an Savegames. Letzteres ist in heutigen Zeiten einfach lächerlich. Trotzdem ein tolles Spiel und von mir eine absolute Empfehlung.

Eines der besten Games die ich je gespielt habe.
Sound, Soundtrack, Story, Hauptfigur sind sehr geil.
Grafik war damals leider schon nicht mehr up to date, aber dennoch kann ich dieses Game nur Empfehlen, auch nach so vielen Jahren.
