You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes.

A masterfully crafted blend of stealth, action, and RPG elements, set in a richly detailed cyberpunk world.

This review is YEARS late but better late than never, right? The original iteration of Human Revolution was already a spectacular game, both for its time and now. Director's Cut fixed all of the nitpicks I had, which catapulted DX:HR Director's Cut to my favorite game of all time, across all platforms and genres.
The story, the art design, the level design, the stealth mechanics, the progression system, the gameplay, and how much attention to detail there is are all amazing. Adam Jensen is a super cool protagonist, and with how this game's story is set up, you really become invested in his journey, and you'll likely echo is motivations for setting out to unravel the multilayered conspiracy that lead with him becoming augmented (which, make no mistake, he never asked for).
Every time I play this game I find new things, new paths, etc that I never even knew about. Everything is super reactive to what you've done, and it most certainly isn't limited to dialogue options. The environments - while definitely aged from when the original version came out in 2010 (!), are still a visual feast. Hengsha especially is super cool, when you look up at the bottom of the floof and see the trams moving across it. Basically a much cooler Midgar from FF7.
10/10. Best game I've ever played in my life, and probably ever will.

I've had this in my library for a long time and finally decided to play it. What an incredible game I have been missing out on. Fun game play, cool characters, and lots of activities to do. The graphics are decent(at least for me) and the controls work awesome for this kind of game! I'm truly sad I have not played this game sooner!

It's heartbreaking that we won't get a closure to Adam's story but the journey was memorable. Too many games ending on cliffhanger these days.
If you're here for a review then you already know that it is an amazing game with a great story. Goes on sale for dirt cheap, there is absolutely no reason to not play this game.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a unique blend of storytelling and Gameplay, offering a compelling journey through a dystopian future filled with moral ambiguity and existential questions. Despite some minor flaws, the game's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, making it a must-play for fans of immersive storytelling and Immersive Sims.

Great story and atmosphere. I enjoy the Deus Ex universe going back to the original. This directors cut edition adds in the integration of the Missing Link DLC into one cohesive package now with your play through. They also add in some dev commentary, that was ok to listen to. The graphical updates were not that impressive and the other small changes are just that small. This PC version is poorly optimized and frames dip in areas frequently with stutter. Still though the story, atmosphere and music are a win and fun to play. Recommended.
