Desperados III is a story-driven, hardcore tactical stealth game, set in a ruthless Wild West scenario. In this long-awaited prequel to the beloved classic Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, John Cooper will join forces with the runaway bride Kate, the shady hitman Doc McCoy, the giant trapper Hector, and Isabelle, a mysterious lady from New Orleans. Das Spiel ist m.E. das "härteste" der Mimimi Reihe, als Beispiel: Ich erreiche fast nie 2 Sterne bei den Missionen. Echtzeittaktik der Weltklasse. Grafik, Musik, Sprecher, Leveldesign sind locker auf Tripple A Niveau, das beste, was es zu bieten gibt. Ich habe das Spiel auf einer anderen Plattform bereits durchgehabt aber habe es mir dann noch einmal hier auf Steam gekauft.
Ich hoffe ja immernoch, dass Mimimi irgendwann plötzlich wieder auftaucht und uns mit Shadow Tactics 2, Desperados 4 und Shadow Gambit 2 überrascht :°(
Edit: Bin jetzt, erneut, durch. Ich weiß nicht, warum es "nur" 23,3 Stunden anzeigt. Für die letzte Map habe ich über 3 Stunden benötigt :D Auf Xbox habe ich beim ersten Spielen 36 Stunden gebraucht. Wahrscheinlich habe ich schlichtweg mehr fürs Knobeln gebraucht, denn ich konnte mich tatsächlich an vieles erinnern, das zeigt, was für ein geniales Spiel es ist. Mit einer Träne mehr, sage ich, auf Wiedersehen und danke für die schöne Zeit <3

Dasselbe Spielprinzip wie man es von "Commandos" kennt, nur eben im Western-Look. Jedoch nicht nur das. Man bekommt eine interessante Story und sympatische Charaktere geboten. Ich kann mich stundenlang mit diesem Game amüsieren, Vor allem wenn man dazu noch alle Herausforderungen der verschiedenen Level absolvieren will. Eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

Habe noch nie eine Rezension geschrieben, aber für dieses Spiel muss es sein. Die Atmosphäre, das Level Design, das Gameplay. Das Spiel ist der Hammer! Ganz große Empfehlung :)

Desperados III ist ein taktisches Stealth Strategie Spiel im Wilden Westen. Man steuert mehrere Charaktere gleichzeitig und muss Aktionen clever planen und aufeinander abstimmen, um unentdeckt zu bleiben. Das Western Setting ist dabei sehr erfrischend, weil es in Spielen immer noch selten vorkommt und dadurch direkt heraussticht.
Die Charaktere sind sehr gut gelungen. Sie funktionieren alle unterschiedlich, haben eigene Werkzeuge, Stärken und Möglichkeiten – und wenn man sie sinnvoll kombiniert, fühlt es sich sehr befriedigend und verdient an, wenn ein Plan aufgeht.
Grafisch ist Desperados III solide und angenehm anzusehen. Nicht spektakulär – aber stimmig. Die unterschiedlichen Schauplätze machen das Spiel visuell sehr abwechslungsreich. Rund 30 Stunden Spielzeit ohne DLC fühlen sich für das Genre genau richtig an. Trial & Error kann phasenweise etwas ermüdend sein – aber insgesamt bleibt es trotzdem ein sehr starkes Spiel.

A worthy successor to one of the best stealth games out there. I never played the second part of the series, but I loved Desperados 1 back in the day and finished it several times.
Yes, it would have been nice to have cinematic cutscenes, a slightly more interesting story or some more details and nods to the original for fans like me. But the gameplay is still excellent, and you can tell that a lot of love went in the writing, the in-game-cutscenes and the music. I see some people complain that there is usually one intended solution instead of multiple ways to approach a problem. That can't be further from the truth - there are literally dozens of badges to earn that encourage you try out a different strategy. For instance, I like to play without killing anybody, which is entirely possible (with very few exceptions due to the story). If you like figuring out a stealth puzzle, methodically and slowly making your way through a huge level full of threats, or if you like planning a ridiculous heist, you will love this game.
