Desktop Garage Kit
Desktop Garage Kit
Desktop Garage Kit is an ultra-cute and loveable desktop software. It adopts a cartoon rendering shader similar to Genshin Impact as a tribute to miHoYo, and we’ve spent a year and a half humbly researching and perfecting it. The software breaks through the barriers between 2D and 3D dimensions, making the desktop characters more delicate and realistic. And it has rich interactive action modules and a brand new massive character update, clothing can be changed, lively and cute. The brand-new physics engine presents a more realistic movement, supports acting cute, coy, cute, and healing, and has more actions, interactions, and mysterious modes for you to unlock. It can always be kept on top of all other windows, always accompanying you, looking forward to your opening.

This is one of the strangest pieces of software I have purchased.
Anyways so like... uuuuh...
I was able to morph one of the cute preset anime girls into a biblically accurate Charger from Left4Dead, and beat off to it...

Ok, so it is what it is. Its a program that lets you have a Desktop "pet" anime girl to interact with while you are on your computer. Its lite on features but I see the devs plan on implementing more thins in the future; and I hope they do.
Lets be realistic, there is not much "content" here. However thats not what this program is about. Its about having a cute anime character dance to music if you are playing it on your desktop, you can interact with them (a little) and... well... there is an adult unlock feature using the Konami Code. So if you want your cute anime girl to dance with little to no clothes, you can have that.
Its cute for what it is. I hope to see updates coming soon and more content. Character Creation would be great! More ways to interact would be fun, and the controls/UI could use some updates for sure. It can feel like walking a labyrinth trying to figure out how to do things sometimes.

It's really cute and I enjoy having an adorable gal on my screen, that being said I think some of the options are "strange". I have found enough within my preferences to continue using it, but would look forward to a broader selection of maturity and ethnicities.

If you can get past the bad u.i, it's a fantastic gooner game.
The desktop buddy aspect is fun and cute, but it's not even close to the meat and potatoes of this game, the only issue is that they don't tell you at all how to access these different modes, you just kinda gotta click things until you stumble onto them. When you do though, you'll be shedding tears it's so good.

It's a worthy game at least for desktop pet, but some mini games are boring except home theater mod. If developer add some voice mod and at least support AI API including GPT or Deepseek, this would overshadow the worst UI

Recommend with wallpaper engine for peak entertainment but it feels like it's missing features at the time of writing.
Features requested:
- Male character creation (for use for sex animations with self insert or people into BL (I don't judge))
- Female character creation (same as above)
- Panic button (to completely disappear from the screen but remain open in the background)
- Custom clothing designs
- Ability to have the fps counter disappear (annoying to disable and enable in steam overlay settings when in use or not)
- Multiple characters on screen or additional screens (for those with beefy hardware)

Honestly. it takes time getting use to the UI (User Interface) once you figure it out its a great game.
:To the Dev team, consider a key bind map in the setting. instead of having to learn the hard way.
