DEEMO -Reborn- is Rayark's classic game DEEMO. The fully 3D immersive journey will intoxicate you with the elegant sounds produced by you on the piano, as well as with the adventures you discover in this fairytale world. A girl who fell from the skies and lost her past; Deemo who plays the piano all alone in the world of the treehouse; an accidental encounter between the two. A Classic Reborn: Centered around an ancient castle and a mysterious tree that grows when melody is in the air, control the little girl who has fallen from the sky and help her find her way home.

Oh, so you play Deemo? How about playing the real piano?
Nah, Deemo is easier, though it really makes you feel like you are a pianist. Deemo fan from the very first Android release here
A decent remake of a lovely, melancholic and, in some way, unique rhythm game. It surely feels different, but at the same time, it's the same old Deemo. Now, what's the difference from the original?
- You get a comfortable adaptation of the vertical touch-controlled beatmap the original game had, which has the same flexibility (you can do slides with space, or you can tap each note separately) BUT if you see old beatmaps and think you will nail your favorite songs from the first try here, NO YOU DON'T. You need to spend a few hours adapting your brain to the keybindings. And it will resist...
(btw probably it's easier to play in VR mode, but I am yet to try)
- Kinda okay 3D graphics BUT they could've made the girl a bit prettier... Also, seems like the overall vibe of original 2d graphics is completely lost
- Puzzle part of the game is much much larger and rich BUT there are too many. I came here to break my fingers, not my brain
- NO VK SONGS!!!! There is no "BUT", it just sucks. I know there was an incident, but still, it sucks.
- The story (at the moment of the review, I have 16m tall tree) seems absolutely the same BUT there are some very obvious hints, that destroy the intrigue of what's going on. Like that atmosphere of mystery is lost
Overall, it's not perfect, but it will still leave you satisfied, whether you are new to Deemo or not. Recommended!

I loved the dreamlike atmosphere and I think it allows the narrative aspect to be a bit vague and have some mystery without feeling frustrating, the story is being driven by a lot of emotion and symbolism and vibes instead of distinct plot points... much like music, for that matter, so it fits really well.
I enjoyed the puzzles, there was a good mix of easy and challenging ones and generally you can always go back and play more music to grow the tree and get more stuff unlocked.
I had some nitpicks in the actual music playing part around why certain songs chose those keys to hit, sometimes the melody you are following or the instrument you're meant to be playing is not obvious or not consistent - its very confusing to be playing a piano one moment and then following a guitar or vocal part the next and kinda wish it was always piano or at least the same instrument throughout one song. But that's such a minor thing and I can get over that. Also I did like that there was a good variety of types of music, you had emotional piano classical stuff, pop music, electronic, even swing/jazz.
overall, very good game and I was surprised by how much I liked it!

Its an amazing rhythm game I've been playing deemo on my phone for 10 years and this game is a great analog.

Weigh down the space bar and you can completely forget this game has sliders.
Whether this is a feature or a bug depends on how much you like sliders.

Good game, with changes from mobile version, overall has a good story that pieces itself together as you go, the story itself is fairly short on its own though. Most of your time will probably be spent just playing songs as its also what leads to progression

its the perfect combination of a story, rhythm and puzzle game

holy shit its insanely good puzzles are hard too which is fun (well theyre hard if you dont know music theory like me lol) but in the end the rhythm game is also fun to play and there is a lot of songs to have a lot of finny fun with so 10/10
