Death Rally (Classic)
Check the Remake
the GamePrepare to be blown away, literally. Race for the finish line, leaving a trail of burnt rubber and spent brass behind you… along with the flaming wreckage of anyone reckless enough to get in your way.
Pick up more ammo and turbo from the side of the track, and floor the pedal while performing some shady deals for The Dealer. No trick is too dirty when you’re preparing for The Final Confrontation. Only the hardest armor, the most powerful engine and the biggest guns will see you through the ultimate battle against The Adversary.
And when you feel you can’t take it anymore, you can check out the underground market. Spiked bumpers, landmines, rocket fuel or sabotage can provide a way to create some nasty accidents for the competition.
Play alone or with friends! Death Rally supports network multiplayer for up to 4 players and serial or modem connection for two players.

A classic, brutal, old-school racing game, now completely free-to-play. Very simple at its core, yet fun and addicting. I played Death Rally a lot as a kid, and I keep coming back to the game every few years. I know all the tracks, tricks, and tactics, yet I still find myself engaged every time. Because sometimes you just want to play something short and simple, and Death Rally is just that. A simple racing game with several options to eliminate other racers, great to play in short sessions. Not to mention, both the graphics and the music are quite good, even after all those years. And since the game is free and will run on a potato there's no reason not to try it out, or come back to it from time to time. One of my personal all time favorites.

"Death Rally" is a nostalgic gem. You're transported back to a simpler era of gaming with the pixelated graphics and straightforward gameplay. I keep coming back to it because it is simple downtime that I can zone out too and watch a move or show during. Somehow, despite the many years, it still has challenging moments. When you need a break from high tech games, this is a good one.

This masterpiece of a Game, had the most fun I ever had with a car game, and I played Carmageddon (1997) before! This game Death Rally is a year before Carmageddon. And all I can say it is indeed fun to play. The writing is funny, the cars honk, you can hit people, shoot the other, put down mines, ram them, buy upgrades to your car etc... IN 1994! I was not even alive for 7 more years man! 10/10
Better than baldurs gate 3!

Great top down action-racer with good progression, but with some repetition and grinding. If you don't mind that, you'll have a lot of fun!

Simple game, but very fun, with an addictive gameplay loop. The resource management aspect of the game, especially at the beginning, I found to be quite compelling. Certainly worth trying out, especially considering it's free. Very interesting in comparison to Remedy's subsequent releases.

After playing 3 hours of the game and finishing it I would say this is a pretty good game by Remedy entertainment. For those of you that don't know are the game devs that did Max Payne 1 and 2, Alan Wake, and Control. The first few minutes of the game were unfair to get through that's the main problem for me because some cars just have vehicles that are just to fast to catch up to so you got to think smart and hope that luck is on your side. The story is you pretty much some driver trying to get to top and beat the number 1 racer. Theres 4 settings to drive in. First is easy, Second is medium, Third is hard, and last is the final boss which I beat on my first try because of how much I played and got used to the BS that game pulled up at me. You can upgrade your cars, exchange your car to get money back for a better car, get items to help you out in the track. You can get pick ups in the game which help out a lot and you do get bets or deals where If you get or do a certain thing in a race you get extra cash. Some you get for eliminating all oppenents and finishing first a lot. I didn't pay too much attention to the music but it's pretty good. With the diffuculty of the game I had to restart my game file multiple times because of how hard it got in the beginning. The trick in this game is to get used to the map and you'll always win almost every race. I give this game a 7 out of 10 because of how hard it was but I got it for free so it's pretty worth trying out If you're curious about old top down racing games.

Death Rally symbolises 90s gaming in many ways, simple & fun with underworld tones. Mad Max style vehicle mods, sabotage the competition & negotiate shady deals to win races. Man the last time I played this game was early 2000s & somehow I never reached rank #1 before. It's pure nostalgia to revisit Death Rally, long live games like this.
