Dear Devere is a visual novel told through letters.
“I suppose I should start with a short summary of my life. I don’t really feel like doing that, so I shall skip to the present.”
The year is 1935. It all started with a single letter. But from that point on, nothing would remain the same for Angela Bard–a quiet, solitary woman living in the Scottish isles.
Much to her surprise, she receives a mysterious and strangely esoteric reply from an unexpected source…
Who is Devere? And how can he be sending letters from the forest at the edge of Angela’s town?

I went in fully blind, recommended by a friend, and it was perfect.
I didn't expect something so short to feel so magical and to get me attached to it so quickly. The writing is phenomenal and witty, and the voice acting brings it to even higher levels. I think the devs nailed the game's voice choice and direction. I also love the way the atmosphere was handled; I was immersed in minutes. I felt it all: joy, tension, amusement, anger, relief, fear, acceptance . . . I can't express enough how remarkable this experience was.
I fully recommend this visual novel. Please, give it a try.

Dear Devere is a charming short visual novel that follows the unexpected romance between Angela and a man living in the forest -- Devere. All though the beginning was a tad bit boring, the story quickly picked up, leaving you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what will happen next. The plot wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it is a nice game that you can complete in under an hour. I give it a solid 7/10

This visual novel is beautiful and features superb voice acting. As a player character, you are one step removed from the main characters as you play as an investigator. You don’t have to make many choices, but the ones you make matter. There are multiple endings and I highly suggest people replay to see them all. The art is charming and draws you into the story. It doesn’t take very long to complete but is a must-play game for those who love letters and romance.

Ce roman visuel est magnifique et présente un superbe doublage. En tant que personnage joueur, vous êtes à un pas des personnages principaux lorsque vous incarnez un enquêteur. Vous n’êtes pas obligé de faire beaucoup de choix, mais les choix que vous faites comptent. Il y a plusieurs fins et je suggère fortement aux gens de rejouer pour toutes les voir. L'art est charmant et vous entraîne dans l'histoire. Cela ne prend pas beaucoup de temps mais c'est un jeu incontournable pour ceux qui aiment les lettres et la romance.
