I sincerely do think the ideas and the concept are really quite fun. Obvious inspirations from Duke Nukem. I just felt the execution wasn't quite there. This game needs more time in the oven, otherwise it gets stale (at least after 7-8 levels for me). I think the humor and music is spot on though, and this is a great first attempt at a game. If the guns felt heavier and had more variety, and the enemy AI a little smarter and more interesting, I probably would have had more fun. I hope they get to make more games in the future and continue working, and maybe one day they can come back to Darken Derek and give him the spotlight again.
