Da Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin mein erstes FromSoftware-Spiel war, hat dieses großartige Spiel immer einen besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen. Auch in seiner Originalfassung ist Dark Souls 2 ein herausragendes Spiel, das mit den meisten Genre-Kollegen mühelos den Boden aufwischt – und das, obwohl es zweifellos der schwächste Teil der Reihe ist.

Dark Souls 2 ist ein Meisterwerk der Soulsborne-Spiele! Herausforderndes Gameplay, faszinierende Welt und tiefgehende Mechaniken. Absolut empfehlenswert! Ich würde es für mich sogar neben den Thron zu Sekiro setzen. Die etwas hölzerne Steuerung kann man gut in Steam mit den Deadzones anpassen oder man nimmt eine vorhandene: ds2 deadzone fix.
Keine Ahnung wieso dieses Spiel so oft gescholten wird, man muss sich drauf einlassen und die Mechaniken meistern bzw man kann für jede Situation eine eigene Waffe, Rüstung, Schild verwenden und manche Kämpfe werden dadurch genial beeinflusst. Langsam und behutsam muss man es spielen. Ich habe geflucht aber es ist, herrlich.

Wie der erste Teil, mit besserer Grafik. Geniales Leveldesign und genialer Lore. Aber das Trial and Error-Prinzip ist einfach nicht meins.

Nach elf Jahren habe ich es endlich geschafft die Zeit zu finden es durch zu spielen. Auch nach all den Jahren ist es großartig gealtert. Vor allem nach so langer Zeit wieder in Drangleic einzutauschen war einfach nur schön.
Immer wieder witzig zu sehen, wie Spiele die 10+ Jahre alt sind, so viel besser sind, als so manch AAA Spiele die heut zu Tage raus kommen.

Dark Souls 2 is a blast to play through but if you want more fun on repeat playthroughs, buy Scholar of the first Sin. Vanilla is great too but SotFS has the more active community and allows for better builds early on. If youve only ever played Scholar and want to try this, you have to be really generous because of that 40$ price but then again its just more DS2 so its worth it. I played Scholar first. You can notice that this wasnt finished but if its your first experience with the game its good. Scholar is just better.
