In a bizarre universe where the oppressed are on the brink of oblivion, Dandara has awoken to reshape the world. As a metroidvania carefully designed with both touch and gamepad in mind, we considered how you could achieve exploration and fast action using either input. The result was a gravity bending world where movement is comprised of jumping from surface to surface in lovingly crafted environments. It's up to Dandara to restore balance and give direction to a directionless world!

Dandara is a cohesive work of art. There are issues with this game but they don't matter. Play it for the experience.

This game is amazing!!! I was a little iffy about this game as I was afraid it was going to be too similar to Celeste but it's completely different! The game does involve physics and precision but a slight bit easier than Celeste in terms of platforming. The game also involves enemies & bosses as well.. which adds onto the game experience! Highly recommend :D

Found this game to be extremely fun! The sprite work and soundtrack really help all the areas feel alive and add to that sense of wonder while exploring. Finding a control scheme you're comfortable with and that you can get used to is vital for this game, due to the unorthodox mode of traversal. I had initially started with keyboard and mouse but eventually switched to playing with a controller. Whichever control scheme you choose it'll likely take some getting used to though. When I first beat the game I found it to be fun but I was left wanting a bit more, something which I think all the Trials of Fear content rounded out quite nicely. Overall, if you're looking for a colorful and unique metroidvania or a "new spin" on platforming, this is absolutely the one to try out.

Dandara is fantastic!
This is such an innovative twist to platform gaming that i was so enthralled my entire play through. The worlds and environments are gorgeous. And while of course you can change the difficulty to suit your playstyle and needs, I want to rain accolades on this game for its regular mode for being the perfect balance of challenging but NOT impossible. So many platformers can end up being a frustration grind machine. And while sure i felt the challenge sometimes i never felt like i'd rather give up. It's 100% doable each time.
The art is this game is so beautiful. From the enemies, the world, and ESPECIALLY the boss fights. I adored every twirling ounce of this game!
I unfortunately had to stop near some of the final bosses due to some motion issues with my eyes (gave me some headaches sometimes) but still adored my experience nonetheless!
ALSO SHOUTOUT TO BADASS ASS BLACK PROTAGONIST PLZ! need more bipoc charas! 10/10

A refreshing take on metroidvanias that has originality in spades. I didn't finish it, not sure entirely why maybe it just didn't stick with me, but the time I did play was an absolute joy.
