Cuphead

Cuphead is one of those unique games where the difficulty is high, but so is the fun. Its cozy atmosphere, paired with exceptional jazz-inspired music design, creates an immersive and unforgettable experience. The hand-drawn visuals and fast-paced gameplay make it truly stand out. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it, even though the controls felt a bit unusual to me (still easier to complete than Hollow Knight). The experience was especially rewarding thanks to the incredible atmosphere and the brilliantly designed bosses. This game is perfect for anyone seeking a challenging yet satisfying experience without frustration. Great piece of game art.

this games good if you're suicidal and need just that one more reason to finally end it all

This was actually the first game I purchased on my Steam account, and it took me a couple of months to complete and achieve 100% completion. It's a real challenge, but once you grasp the mechanics, master attack patterns, and find a loadout that suits your playstyle, defeating even the toughest bosses becomes much more manageable. The learning curve is steep, but immensely rewarding. With each victory, there's a sense of accomplishment that keeps you coming back for more. This game truly tests your skills and perseverance, making it a memorable experience from start to finish.

Cuphead | ★★★★☆
Cuphead is one of the few challenging games that didn’t frustrate me when I died. The reason being; I could always see what I did wrong and how I could have prevented it going forward. I can't blame the game for my mistakes since every attack can be prevented/dodged if you’re paying attention enough (It can still overwhelmed you though, so you better turn on some ultra instinct). Each boss and phase has an ideal guns or super, so don't be stubborn using only one weapon the whole game.
The game also has a strong nostalgia factor for me, even though it's a recent release. It reminds me of an old arcade game I played as a kid called Three Wonders (1991). Interestingly, it’s not the art style but the gameplay itself that brings back those feelings of fun and frustration.
Lastly, a tip if you’re not playing with a keyboard: rebind the controls on your controller. Don’t put the shoot and jump/dash buttons in places where only one finger can press them at the same time. If possible, bind the shoot button to R2/RT for smoother gameplay.
