The small mining town of Bataille, Missouri has been cordoned off from the outside world for six months. The inhabitants have no idea why. 4/5。整个游戏类似于《穹顶之下》+《午夜弥撒》，只不过红色的高塔这样的意象更具有特殊的符号感和象征感。一开始的悬疑剧情写得非常精彩，然而整个游戏都很谜语人，所有线加起来都没讲清楚几个关键设定，感觉世界观像是纯纯用来做噱头的。本来不想打这么多线因为觉得本作的浪漫情节不好看，而且女主一到浪漫情节就像被夺舍了，但为了打new game+还是被迫把四条线全打了，不过真结局（我姑且这么称呼）非常非常精彩，我很喜欢，甚至感觉有点轻微的meta风味（我看到其他评论里也有这么觉得的）。
女主有很明确的既定形象，性格像那种二十年前电影里的老白男警官，做事不怎么讲逻辑又很偏执爱发脾气，能动性不高，并且人设也有点点割裂。游戏发行以来就有玩家在讨论区陆续提出了不少bug，各种问题我全遇上了，比如说打开游戏是灰屏只能从上一个存档的地方重打之类的，现在2025年了作者还没修。
四个ro就很cinnamon rolls trend（“看起来像cinnamon roll但实际上能杀你”那个）。矮子里拔高子的是august线，但也有可能是我更喜欢这个角色吧，感觉heartbreaker的设定有点像《电锯惊魂》里的竖锯。maddy线时常给我一种忙活半天白忙活的感觉，也没解开什么谜团。julian和他姐姐非常像《猩红山峰》（甚至叫crimson peak），女主完全是姐弟play的一环，这条线对付恐同男太好笑了，另外叫朱利安的吸血鬼这真的很《热夜之梦》。liam性格不太连续，感觉像纯纯工具人。
new game+这个线特别特别伟大，非常巧妙，有点loop风味，我很喜欢这种callback感，而且所有人聚在一起也很感动。真结局验证了我一开始的猜想，类似于《彗星来的那一夜》的那种平行宇宙混合。从jesus变成lucius、十字架变成x的群体性幻觉，再到julian的人类or吸血鬼梦境，还有new game+里那个已经被拨通过一次所以作废的电话号码，整个小镇就像一个试验场，类似于《无尽》里那样，看似离开了但从身处其中开始就再也无法走出边界。最后我还是选了留在小镇，你们五个人的孽缘就这么定型了，五个人一定要好好在一起好吗好的。
