☐ Very negative experience. Save your money.

How the game is played:
Creepy Road plays like a singleplayer Castle Crashers on a single lane, but without the huge variety of weapons. Run and jump to the left or right while blasting away or tossing grenades at enemies that approach. Pick up items and weapon upgrades, while discovering secrets along the way. Reach the next checkpoint to save your progress. Areas are punctuated with big boss battles.
What I like about Creepy Road:
+ Groovy music.
+ Bizarre enemies.
+ Lots of style & humor.
+ The artwork is impressive.
+ Can't argue w/ that price.
+ Sound effects are top notch.
+ Good variety of items & weapons.
+ Interesting & colorful level backdrops.
+ Lead character, Flint, is "loaded" w/ personality. /groan
+ Controller support.
Room for improvements:
- Short.
- A few bugs.
- No multiplayer.
- Linear gameplay.
- Can't shoot diagonally.
- Can't skip past intro logos.
- Missing text & images in instructions.
Other thoughts:
Creepy Road's personality, presentation, and humor is what carries this game. Don't get me wrong, it's core mechanics are still fun, even though limited. It's gameplay reminds me a bit of a cross between Shadow Dancer and Ghouls n' Ghosts from my days gaming on the SEGA Mega Drive in the 90's. It has the single lane fighting, weapon pickups, platforming, and enemy assaults of Ghouls n' Ghosts with the intermission levels of Shadow Dancer, in which you move back and forth on the screen (in this case, up and down) to take out a barrage of enemies that becomes increasingly more intense.

Funny game. It's fun, because it has a bunch of humor and various jokes. Cartoon characters, monsters are very funny. A girl with a self-stick is very much like my girlfriend.
I also want to note that the developers are releasing patches and updates for this product, so this is not a one-time shooter. Developers support life in this game.

Creepy Road
Creepy Road is a stylish game with some hilariously grotesque and funny horror visuals, but does the classic side-scrolling run'n'gun action compare to the off-the-wall action of games like Battletoads or Comix Zone? Its definitely a little different, but I think it holds its own!
Gameplay
A classic sidescrolling run'n'gun with a deliberately steady pace but a whole lot of colorful and goofy chaos on a single screen. The "Danger!" sections of Creepy Road's stages almost feel like an intense wave-based shooter baked into the adventurous feeling of a side-scrolling adventure. As you progress different new scenes will lock you into a crazed battlefield of streaming enemies, closing in from both sides and demanding some serious deliberation between the usage of guns and the amount of ammo you have left with each one.
This is honestly a very hard game, more-so in a crazy chaotic way than a carefully composed one. Enemies are thrown at you in aggravatingly hard and random order, but with a proper usage of your destructive grenades and some careful planning of your ammo you can keep up a steady stream of flamed and flayed bodies. Luckily, a very healthy selection of crazy weaponry is available, and makes these Wave-based sections particularly fun and chaotic to deal with. From your typical pea-shooter pistol with frustratingly slow fire-rate to powerful shotguns, to more volatile arsenal like rocket launchers and flamethrowers to take out entire buildings in a firey display.
Like a side-scrolling Redneck Rampage without all of the sweet Reverened Horton Heat tunes, its a little rough around the edges but it has a certain challenging flair to its action that makes you want to try each frustrating section over and over again until you nail it. The variety not only in the wild and outrageous settings but the actual content of gameplay is impressively diverse, with not only run'n'gun levels and huge impressive bosses but high-flying arcade shootemup sections to shmup your way through.
Visuals/Sound
The visuals in Creepy Road are where it really shines in its stylish glory. The art and animation here seems to take strong cues from humorous animation of the 90's, with the facial expressions on Flint Trucker looking like something out of a Ren and Stimpy close-up shot and every grimy detail down to his greasy tank-top is doodled in full glory. The hand-drawn backgrounds are particularly impressive in their cartoon-ish design, getting progressively weirder and zanier the closer you get to the final destination, the great Circus.
The voice on our lovable trucker protagonist didn't exactly sound like an authentic Southerner or redneck to me and given the Russian origin of the game that is both unsurprising and forgivable, but its cool that he had voice acting at all and it didn't make the awesome dialogue or the acting any less funny. The important thing here is the soundtrack, which has a diverse range of genres and style to it to fit each of the unique settings and environments you pass through. Sound effects blare from every one of the many, many animals and creatures on screen at a time so the hilariously repetitive and monotonous nature of the various reactions can get a bit grating.
Final Thought
Sure it isn't going to win any awards for innovative gameplay or super tight controls or action, but Creepy Road has a whole lot of the same kind of top-notch style and out-there humor that a lot of the B-Movies, cartoons and Games of the 90's had. Its chaotic, maybe a little overwhelmingly so, but persistence and determination will always lead to some pretty satisfactory victories.
If you're looking for a slick and funny 90's style run'n'gun, this is one with some of the more interesting and outlandish setpieces.

You control a horrifying redneck on a blood simple 2D romp through beautifully hand-drawn levels. No co-op, no bells and whistles, the action is as simple as you imagine by watching the trailer. Sometimes, that is exactly what you need.

Huge hordes of enemies. Only have time to kill these creatures. Very interesting to play the game. The game is like a comic, everything looks so lively and beautiful. You definitely should try it.

Creepy Road is a pretty good action side scroller game, so now its story time.
You play as a trucker named Flint, after getting back from a delivery he heads home to his town of Dustburg not just to catch the circus but to see his beloved Angelina.
But then as he is driving a psycho bear jumps out and makes him crash his truck, having serviced he must go to the circus and see if his loved one is safe all the why’ll fighting madman and monsters.
Okay so what’s there to like about the game, well to start off the game is hard even on normal but fair, it has very good action and combat, the weapons were fun to use.
The art was very nice to look at, it was all so very colorful, the music was nice and the boss battles were tough it could be a bit bunk some time but you can beat them with time, all so the enemies and bosses were nice to look at.
And lastly I liked Flint he was cool and smart I mean it from the look of him he looks like your typical red neck and you think he is dumbass, but he’s a pretty deep guy.
Okay so what’s there to not like, well to start off with the game is a bit short you can beat it in five or six hours not counting achievement getting.
All so would have liked more unique enemies and bosses to fight same with the weapons. And the game does have some bugs but nothing game breaking, and the platforming did have some problems but nothing too bad.
And lastly I don’t know how I feel about the ending what he did was selfish but at the same time he did literally goes those hell so I don’t how feel I about the ending.
So all in all Creepy Road is a pretty good action side scroller game, with some good action, good art, and tough but fair gameplay.
So I recommend this game and I can’t wait for some DLC for the game and a sequel someday.
