Craft The World is a unique sandbox strategy game, the mix of Dungeon Keeper, Terraria and Dwarf Fortress.
Explore a random generated world populated by dangerous creatures, build a dwarf fortress, gather resources, and craft all the items, weapons, and armor you need.
GOD-SIMULATION
You control a tribe of dwarves by giving them commands to dig in certain places, attack enemy creatures, and build houses and other structures. You'll need to provide your dwarves food and clothing, as well as help them with magic when fighting against other inhabitants of the world. You start the game with one dwarf and gain additional dwarves as your experience level increases.
SANDBOX GAME
Each game level has many layers of earth to explore, from the sky down to boiling subterranean lava. The level is randomly generated as an island, restricted by natural boundaries: oceans on the edges, lava beneath it, and the sky above. Other features include day and night and changing weather conditions. The worlds differ in size, humidity, temperature, terrain, and flora and fauna. Abandoned halls and rooms with treasure are hidden somewhere deep within the islands.
CRAFTING
One feature of the game is a user-friendly system of recipes for crafting. The recipes are organized and easily accessible. You can craft dozens of different items: building blocks for houses, furniture, decorations, weapons, armor, ammunition, and food for your dwarves.

I absolutely love this game. I have played it all the way through at least 5 times and I keep coming back for more. It's the best tune out, feet up, funny and enthralling crafter/mining game I have had the opportunity to play and the multiplayer is great too! I've purchased all the DLC and appreciate so much that the developers love this game as much as I do and keep pumping out updates and great additions to the game. Thank you so much!

Very engrossing game but it has issues with replayability.
Graphics look great, the dwarves run around following your orders so while you can control them, you don't have to ... their AI sometimes wigs out and I wish you could 'lock' a character into an action (like ignore all combat ... or train until there is combat and then return to training) ... so I could specialize combat types and non-combat types.
The tech tree is a bit ... odd ... I mean to learn how to smith high end weapons you have to build nice furniture and decorate your cave ... which I mean I get, a craftsman doesn't want to live in a hovel, but when you've got waves of zombies and skeletons breaking down your door, that seems to be an odd priority.
So about the replayability. Once you've got a hang of the game, it's just a matter of doing the right things in the right order at the right time. You can be swamped even on Easy and without mods helping me, I couldn't manage Normal difficulty ... mainly because I think I wasn't hyper optimizing my choices.
It would also benefit from having a story associated with it ... as it is, it's a long game but pretty much a sandbox ... find the things to get the patterns to build the bits to open the gate ... but there could have been a lot more story associated with it, like 'we need you to build a forward base for a lot of colonists ... have X number of Y quality beds and Z amount of food in storage before N time' ... or 'we'll give you these resources and upgrades but you need to hold the line for M minutes before we can bring in the cavalry' ... typical RTS go to material.

This game is highly addictive. It's genre is close to indirect control games which are my favorite. Be careful with DLCs though - you might not want to spend your money just on several new cave types on each level. What? Me? I got them all. No regrets.

Hours and hours of wonderful crafting / building fun with monster combat and character types (melee, magic, ranged) to constantly upgrade and improve. One of my favorite games to return to, and now it's got a ton of DLC to make it even more robust! A must have in your library.

Great game, very addictive. Be aware though, it can be very time consuming. I don't have anymore clocks in my house because of it.

This game is a very fun open-world strategy game. It contains tons of features (especially in the DLCs) and has pretty balanced progression. However, the biggest problem with the game is the Dwarves' AI. There are many, many issues that they have pathfinding, and they are just kinda dumb in general. It would be a 10/10 for me if the AI was fixed, but overall I give it a solid 7.5/10.

Nice game that one can also play in multiplayer with friends by downloading the multiplayer dlc.
The premise is that one leads a growing colony of dwarves to survive and thrive in a world.
The more one builds/digs/fights, the more the options for the colony expand as well as better equipment for the dwarves themselves.
The game has a nice feel and flow to it and the larger the colony grows, more enemies will attack it by night.
One sees the world from the side like in terraria, but there is much more detail in the world due to the larger tiles.
Really enjoy it and find it quite relaxing to play and not as stressfull as other games within this category.
