Consternation II
SUMMARY
‘Consternation II’ is a free-to-play, indie, horror game developed by CrackedGhostGames and Raster_Entertainment.
“On April 14th, 2015 two photographers were rummaging through an abandoned factory in rural Maine when they stumbled upon the corpse of a woman who had gone missing months before. She was a tall woman. The autopsy reported that she was extremely malnourished. However, her cause of death was from multiple stab wounds and a cervical fracture. Police were never able to find the killer… The next year, police walled off the facility. The site is very popular with urban explorers and paranormal investigators alike. Some tell tales of seeing the murdered woman. Others hear screams emanating from the inner parts of the building. Tonight, you are going to prove whether or not these rumors are true… Equipped with nothing more than a digital camera and a flashlight, you scale the wall…”
This game is a sequel to Consternation, but ditches the maze gameplay, and introduces new mechanics as well.
GAMEPLAY
Each level introduces different enemies for you to go up against. With no way of fighting back, you’ll have to sprint, crawl, and hide to escape your pursuers. Use your new and improved flashlight to see long distances and scope out an area before advancing further.

This is by far the most horrifying game I have ever played in my life. Not to say this is the best, but it is absolutely the most scary. This is not a game that is meant to contend with the famously great horror games like Outlast, Amnesia, Resident Evil, etc. Nor is it trying to be. This game is purely meant to scare you as much as possible, and it does. Far far more than any other game I've played has. Gameplay has you on edge the ENTIRE time. If you are playing, you are scared. To put it simply, you are running around a maze-like structure, collecting things to progress. There is a insanely fast slasher with an incredibly smart AI, and as you progress there are different monsters that you also have to worry about. This game makes you want to quit, pause, walk away, and do anything besides play. Consternation II is a game that made me question why I play horror games.

I love horror games. I hate solving puzzles while something chases me to escape the building just to enter another room to do the same thing. PS1 style adds to the shitting of my pants. If you're into that, this is literally perfect!

I've played a lot more of this game off stream, so don't let the low play time affect this review. But first: I'm friend's with the dev.
I like it, and I'm not usually a fan of games like this. Lots of jump scares and loud noises, but it's really well put together with that retro Playstation 3D feel. Also, while the night vision is finite in the game, it lasts surprisingly long. So don't be afraid to use it when you need it.
My only REAL complaint, is there's no orientation on the map. So even with the map it's really easy to get lost.

I liked the old style of the game as it gives a terrifying touch and makes you scared throughout the game!
Worth playing

Consternation II is a great game if you're looking to get spooked. I like that it goes beyond the mainstream "jump scare" games, with other games the enemy jumps right out but in this game you have to wait awhile for the killer to appear which adds to the anticipation and fear. Definitely looking forward to more updates.

Before I played Consternation II, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
