ComPet - Beast Battles, ausgeschrieben Competition Pets ist ein Free-to-Play Onlinestrategiespiel. Wir bauen dabei eine Basis aus, alles sehr niedlich und rekrutieren/kaufen ebenfalls eher niedliche Tiere die wir "verbessern" und dann in einer 2D Arena (es gibt nur links-rechts, keine Tiefe des Raumes) gegen ein anderes niedliches Tier antreten lassen, damit sie sich gegenseitig töten. Es gibt verschiedene Spielmodi: PvE, Quests (wo man nicht spielt, sondern das Tier quasi "arbeiten schickt" für eine gewisse Zeit und dafür etwas XP bekommt), PvP in einer Arena und Raids wo man gegnerische Basen angreift um zu plündern. Es erinnert daher etwas an eine Mischung aus Spielen wie Good Game Empire, Stämme, etc. und einem Arena-Spiel wie zB Pokemon. Durch die wohl bewusst niedliche/kindliche Optik würde ich als Zielgruppe eher jüngere Spieler vermuten. Etwas ungünstig wenn man PvP spielen möchte sind die geringen Spielerzahlen die diesen Modus verwenden. Es bleiben für mich zwei Sachen abzuwarten, da das Spiel noch in Entwicklung ist (Early Access): a) Da es ein F2P Spiel ist, wie es die Sache mit dem Echtgeld-Faktor handhabt, also ob es Richtung P2W treibt. Und b) Laut Ankündigung auf der Homepage soll man bei Raids auch die Premiumwährung der Spieler erbeuten können. Das ist meiner Meinung nach auch rechtlich gesehen ein zweifelhaftes Feature, wenn es denn so kommen sollte.
